Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course i choose is data science. I chose this course due to the latest technologies in the field.Someone who is aspiring to become data scientist can choose this course. The course covers all the skills needed for the job role like data mining, data analysis, data scientist etc . The course can be improved is some part where like the labs needed to be more practical and should be taught in view of the outside job side .The exams are once a month like mida , semester, lab internals and externals and all. I don't specially think we need to be stressed the only exams to focus is End Semester Exams and Skill Improvement

Internships Opportunities

4

The college encourages in providing interships to students and it is mandatory. The stipend completely dependends on the students performance. The projects are done by every student at the college. We need to perform project development and that are helpful, problem solving, and outcome driven.

Placement Experience

3

The placement are quite ok to be Frank the placement completely dependends on the students how are they eligible and what skills they acquire .The companies visited are Qspiders 4lpa , cognizant 11lpa , Microsoft 23 lpa etc.. The highest package was 24 lpa which was last year and the lowest was around 2.4lpa. The 50-50 placement percentage who got skill get placed. I think I will try the placements once If satisfied do the job or else got to masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee : 50000 Jntu fee : 5500 Exam fee :1800 Library 4yrs : 11500 Re-embruisment scholarship eamcet : 35000 Bus fee :26000 for 1st year 28000 for 2nd year 30000 for 3rd year 32000 for 4th year

Campus Life

4

The complete life as a student at my college is quite imp we can enjoy with friends and fests . We can get access to Library books digital labs in Libraries etc. We have also clubs in college where students with specific interest can join and take part. It helps in social skills etc much more..

Admission

I got a decent Eamcet Rank . I have selected a bunch of decent colleges across Hyderabad like Snist ,Anurag ,HiTM, Mvsr ,Cmr, Gurunanak etc. I chose this collge as it was good compared to other colleges well experienced and as far near compared to all. I got seat in Cmr but it was way too far to go.The other colleges I didn't get a seat so best of all I got into VBIT. To get admission into college you can go through the Eamcet and apply or Go through management seat and pay the seat fee. The cutoff earlier when I joined was around 70000 i guess.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is quite good the faculty are good and clarify the doubts and are friends as i mention some are not good.So coming to which faculties are good i think whole of the 1st year department is quite impressive. I liked them because they were passionate towards teaching and were focused on teaching.I didn't like the specific Ds department although there were good faculty in it .Some are not good. The exams are not to tough . The students who fail is completely dependant on their way. If they don't study they may fail. I think the pass percentage is like 70-30 . The course curriculum is quite latest and focuses on the latest technologies.

Interview Experience

4

Yeah the college placement round consists of Group Discussion and Interviews for Placements category. The first round contains Group Discussion and the second round contains Skill testing. third round contains the Hr round.

Night Life

4

The college campus doesn't allow students to go around campus at night time , they can be in their hostels andgoo in their hotel grounds. I am a day scholar so I don't know much about the night life at college.

Placement Experience:

So coming to placements they will provide good no. of placements if we have skills and keen of intrest to learn new things and grab oppurtunities. Also our colleg has NACC and NBA accredation there will be more companies approaching our college and taking students for placements and trainging. TP CELL will give its 100% in placements pushes students forward for various trainings and placements. Basically placement starts froms 3-2 mostly form 4-1 where students go to attend interviews and attend exams. companies like Infosys, Wypro, My schools, Infotech, and many MNC's. every year almost 150-200 students will be selected for placements. average package will be 3.0 - 4.5LPA and the highest package is 7.5LPA . their package is decided by companies according to the role they applied and thier level of skill. 45- 50% of the students will be selected for the placements. My plans after getting the degree: If i got selected in placement its well and good i will proceed further with the placement i got incase if didnt get placed i will try of the jobs and then shortly start a business.

Our college has good placement opportunities. We are eligible for campus placements since 3-2 or 4-1. The highest package offered is 14 lakhs and the average package is 4 to 5 lakhs. 85 to 90% students get placements and others are also provided with other opportunities. We have got NAAC and NBA accreditations so we have more scope for placements now. I plan on getting a job and continue my MS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very particular in choosing my course ie- computer science engineering. My aim is to become a software engineer, so I was very passionate about the course since my 10th. I find this course is very good but the point is it focuses on all the areas, but for an engineer the main point is computer courses. If this part is focused more then it will be useful.
