Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course offers surface level information and laws for a person getting into a business or financial career. The amount of information this course provides is very less for the time you're studying it,the topics are repeated in different semesters and there is a lot of irrelevant information. In my pov this course is just a preparation for you to understand the dynamics of business and finance but the time to information ratio that requires to finish this course makes it a waste of time.

Placement Experience

1

The placement provides jobs in fields that have no direct correlation with the course I'm studying and has a very low salary package. Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. The highest package would be approximately 2LPA The percentage of students getting placements would be less than 10% in a class. Im planning on pursuing a professional course after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees starts from approximately 40000 excluding exam fees and other fees and it declines to almost 35000 on the last year of college. The fees you have to pay for management seat is very expensive considering the lack of facilities in this college(Chinmaya college Tripunithura Kerala)under MG University I can't speak about lab fees as my course didn't require usage of the labs. The students from management admission has to pay 60000 as admission fee and the yearly fee structure is same as merit students. As for the financial aid and scholarships we were told to fill out our details for a scholarship but there wasn't any follow up on it from the college management.

Campus Life

1

The worst part of this college is the lack of activities and events, faculty and management has no interest in providing a satisfying campus life to students instead they are focused on just the academic part of the college. There will be the surface level celebrations such as onam and christmas, college day and arts day and expect nothing more. The library requires a membership which is diabolical considering the amount of fees paid. The PE techer is the only person who has some interest in providing a good campus life for the students but the lack of a college ground makes it harder for him to do that.

Admission

The main reason i chose this college is that i didn't actually get admission in any other colleges which sounds like a me problem and I'd say it is a me problem. i applied to almost every college in my locality and didn't got them in the first couple of tries but there was still time left to apply to other colleges but I had to choose this from the peer pressure of family and the college faculty

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:100 the faculties are mostly approachable but there are some bad apples too in the pick. The faculty often performs with a lot of ego and that makes it hard to like them. It wouldn't be professional to name the faculty members but if you were to study in this college you'd know who all I'm talking about. there is an exam almost every 4 months and there are several skill evaluation tests from time to time and model exams before every semester exams.

Night Life

1

There is literally no night life and students are forced to leave the campus and go home as soon as the classes are over and the faculty even informs the parents if they see the students roaming around after classes.

I guess it's from the 6th semester. there are many companies especially the big 4's like KPMG, KY, DELOITTE, all of those had made their offers and many students who passed out as well as got into those. 80-89% of the students get the placements. I haven't yet decided my plans aftergetting the degree as of now.
