All about Baselius College Kottayam

I was taken commerce stream during my 12th, I interested to study in accountancy and business studies so I gain interest to study in the commerce field and finally i made it. As a commerce student i believes that my academic skills and my study things can contribute to the financial sector and in every commerce background things. The teaching methods in our department are good but still have to improve among the faculties and in there teaching skills. During our exam times there's not much enough time to study because there's no gaps between exams so it is still considered a stressful thing among students.

First of all we didn't have the time to go for internships due to lack of some technical issues. But last time when we gone for a project in industrial visit it was a new experience to us to know about various things and gains acknowledgement. The companies like accenture and many other industries offer to our college students with a stipend of around 15000.

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

I got admission in Baselius College Kottayam on merit basis , so my yearly fees has to pay only 2000 for each semester. The self financing students has to pay the full fees in each semester around 13000. First when I went to take admission from there they tell us to pay 10000 for the ( caution fees, registration fees, admission fees and other fees etc..)The college provides numerous scholarships for students like (state merit, national scholarships and some religious based scholarships proclaiming around 20000).

My campus life is neither good or not because it sometimes felt like a schooling mode due to the strictness from the management and all. In our college they conducts technical festivals like onam on September and, christmas on December and arts day typically on February etc. There's a main program that is our college fest on march 1st ,actually it is a big program even conducted in the night, overall it is nice. The positive thing in our college is it's liabrary because it provides various types of books and novels the place is calm and silenced so students can read the books peacefully. Also there are smart boards in our class during the lecture time our teacher tooks the class along with the technological provisions. The main thing is that our college is famous for its sports mainly on Football , the team from our college are talented students they showed the true spirits as a Baselian Student.

I am staying like a PG, it is located on nearby place of our college, it is recommended by the college. During the registration process they tell us to pay 300 for registration and should sign in a contract paper. The food provided here is not much as good.The room contains 8 beds like double decor in a single room so it feels like a messy and congested one, the room is attached with a bathroom but it has not much as clean and neat. It is really challenging me to stay in a room with 7 peoples more.

I applied in many colleges even in one of my favourite CMS college but I didn't get admission there. Moreover I got admission in St thomas College pala but I rejected it over baselius because of its department. The admission process in our college can be apply through their websites or even online portals based on the seats and availability. I took admission on merit based so as a highly challenging course among other courses it is difficult to get admission in bcom on merit basis. I think to get seat in the merit a student should score above 92% in their 12th exam.

In my commerce department the faculties included here are good and being nice to students. Our Hod is not much as strict so our department programs and events are really enjoyable.The faculties in the department are being friendly with students so it is a positive thing among students mental health. I like my business studies teacher because her way of teaching method is understandable and not bored at all. I didn't like my language subject teacher because she's slightly rude and didn't fully cover our exam portions, it becomes very hard to students during exam times.

As a hostel student we have freedom to roam around the entire town because I am staying at an outside hostel . The favourite spot in our nearby college is the small cafe shop because the foods available there are affordable and tastier.Also we hostel mates go for an outing on weekends like shopping and visiting a greenery field makes the day enjoyable and we would hangout at night if there's an event happen at town we go there and enjoys it. There's a public library in the town named DC BOOKS there they provides various types of books and novels for anyone who wish to read books . Also there's a gym , cafes and many facilities available in the city.
