Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this college because of low fee structure and we all know the condition of engineering it's very taugh to earn jobs in today's engineering context. So most of us opt for govt. jobs that's why MIT is good option than lower NITs I would say.
Internships Opportunities
The intership opportunities provided by the college is limited as there is many students in my college and providing internship to each of them is a very hectic task but our college has some MOU with some govt. companies they provide internship
Placement Experience
In my college, the average package is about 5LPA and almost 100 students get placed from CS/IT, ECE and EE students which is quite good figure in today's context of IT. Companies like Alstrom visit to our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my college fee is very low about 12 rupee and major part of the fee takes place in examination fee which is about 3760 per semester and 2500 per year in development fee, which is quite low in comparison to other college B.Tech fee structure. For SC/ST category there is a fee waiver in examination fee i.e. they have to pay about 700 per semester. Scholarship like Post Matric Scholarship is available for all categories student except general category which grants about 15000 per year.
Campus Life
Overall, my experience with my college is fantastic as it gives you a lot of time to follow your dream. There is no compulsary class attendance, If you feel that going to class daily is not worthwile you can watch online lecture and skip classes
Hostel Facilities
I would suggest if you came to MIT in first year, you should definately take hostel as you came from schooling to college so enjoy first, it can be possible only if you take hostel otherwise you will regret later
Admission
I applied for UGEAC counselling and 1st attempt I got BCE bhagalpur in civil engineering but the college is highly affected by water logging which results to class suspension for almost 2-3 months on that college, which suddenly changed my mind and I decided to opt for MIT instead of this and thankfully in 2nd round of consellling I got MIT muzaffarpur. In my college there is two entry one is through UGEAC counselling which is based on JEE Mains result and there is also an another way that is through BCECE examination which helds after JEE Mains exams.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio, I would say is quite low. I don't know the exact number but I can say it's about 1:50. But I would say, If all of them work at their potential they will definately improve our college ranking. I like Shivalika ma'am and Rajesh sir and many more I can't tell all of them as they are very sincere faculty. I would say a lot of faculty is very honest towards their work. I usual there is 8 mid semester exam along with 8 semester exams.
Night Life
There is very good Library in my colleges consisting of around 200 seats. Every library is equipped with very fast computer you can use them without any extra cost which is very good for students who don't have laptop
