Remarks
The negative about my college is that it is way outside of the city and it is difficult to travel everyday. The positive thing is that once you are there you will be very much interested in studying as you don't have any other option :). There is very few chances of bunking and going out as there is not much to do outside of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course is kind of old dated. But as of now I am in 6th semester and there have been a few changes in the subjects and new subjects based on the current industry requirements has been added. There are 3 internal exams in which the marks of best of two will be considered and calculated for 30 marks out of 100. There is an external exam for every semester and it is counted for 70 marks. These 30 and 70 marks are calculated out of 100.
Placement Experience
There are quite well opportunities of placement. There is enough placement training. There is no internship provided by the college. There is a facility of joining a Star batch which will get training for specific jobs in specific types of companies.
College Events
There are several educational and social festivals that are celebrated in my college. There is and yearly event called Infinity that is the college fest. The hostelites have several events of social festivals. There are also several technological seminars that are arranged by the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive. The fees are based on the 12th marks, as they give merit scholarships based on the marks. The SC/ST have a very less fee structure. The students who get admission through the JET also get very less fees. My current fee is 1.5 Lacs for every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship facility which is provided by the college is during the admission which is the merit scholarship. This scholarship is given based on the 12th marks of the students. The accounts department also helps students in attaining several private and government scholarships.
Campus Life
There are several sports teams of the college that take part in inter college competition. There are various labs for every department. The labs of Cse have two labs in which there are old systems and the ones that had been established an year ago which is very high tech and are having top end systems.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an yearly alumni event in which we can create networks with our graduated seniors and the present seniors. The seniors help us in our lab programs and help us during exams. The seniors also help us in attaining internships.
Admission
I was called by the college admission team of the Jain university and was given admission based on my 12th marks of the Andhra Pradesh intermediate public exams in the merit quota of the college. Admission can also by taken by taking the Jain entrance test.
Faculty
The faculty is well qualified and are also helpful. There are a few newly added faculties who are not well experienced in teaching but are well known of the subject and are very good in explaining. The faculties are very well in communicating in English rather than using the local languages.
