The greenery in campus.The campus is such clean and green to live .
The security of campus.The CISF always secures the campus 24×7
The mess food is healthy and safe to eat even the taste is not so good.

Dislikes

The gender ratio in college is very low .
The tight timing of campus to go out and come .
The attendance policy is such strict. They are asking for 80% mandatory attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is as per the new education policy 2023 and all the subjects are very relevant to the course.. The course have core subjects from the first year and have a depth knowledge of the subjects from beginning to end.

Internships Opportunities

The intership opportunity are very good as per the number of students present and studying in the campus in this year a lot student got opportunity on the basis of college and some got those intrenship by there own with reference of professor.

Placement Experience

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Fees and Financial Aid

NSP gives scholarship to sc and st category students and also financial aid to Gen EWS student (66% scholarship). A lot of other scholarship like relince digital and ongc scholarship the amount of scholarship is different for different categories and also depend on the provider.

Campus Life

The campus life is good the student are from all over the india and almost from all the part of the India and all the states of India . The campus is good and secure to live inside. The class and campus is very clean.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good and the warden in the hostel are there in the hostel for all 24 hours. The do there duty well . The hostel are very clean and the washrooms are cleaned daily . The staff is very helpful to the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I choose this college over other colleges due to the opportunity that I am getting in this college such as ISRO campus placement and more opportunities in my life.such as government sector and private sector.

Faculty

The faculty members are highly qualified and the had done P.hD and they have a lot of knowledge but they are unable to explain the things in a good way and ask for final answer only in the exams which is really a very bad thing.

Night Life

The night life is nood so good for first year student because they are not allowed to go out of the hostels after 10:30 pm in night so they are able to explore the campus at night time and are not allowed to go out of campus after 7:30 pm.

Placement Experience:

My college has established a strong reputation for its campus placement performance and I can't know more about the placement details because I'm a first year student but the students become eligible to part5in the campus placement from the starting of seventh semester . I have heard that a lot of companies like around 50 visits our college to select our students . Many noticable companies like Infosys , Microsoft , Target , Amazon etc visits our college and recruit our talents . Our highest package till date is 17 lakhs per annum and an average package is 4 lakhs per anum . Around 90% of students get placed every year . And after college I would like to continue my studies and also would workhard to get placed in a company and prepare for competitive exams and more .

Placement Experience:

There are campus placements here. About 30 to 40 companies if im guessing right. By the 7th sem they tell you to prepare for placements. The average packages vary from 15000 to 25000. About only 25 to 40 percent of students got placed in the college. My plans are still learning some more courses.

Syllabus was well structured and job oriented. Today is the era of Artifical intelligence and based on that the syllabus is maintained. We have machine learning ,data mining , and big data analysis . From 3 rd year onwards students are getting internship and placements Top companies like oracle and many like top companies visit the college Last year highest pacakage was 33lpa average around 7-8lpa Almost 80-90 get placed in cs department that what i know not sure about it I prefer to take msc outside india or go with a good placemebt still deciding

I applied to the top for IITs giving courses in aerospace and this IIST and no private institutions because this degree is of low importance and intrest in the students of India and difficult to study and maintenance of these labs is far costly for getting profits through admissions and no nit institute is giving this course. The Holistic IIST

As i am JEE Advanced qualified student, i have many options in JOSAA counselling like i am getting Mechanical in IIT BHU, Civil in IIT Goa, chemical in IIT ISM Dhanbad and also chemical in IIT Bhubneshwar but i choose IIST over those colleges because as I mentioned it is focused on academics and this institute has labs better than any other college in India also the I am getting ECE branch here that is why. Yes i got rejection from many IITs and NITs because my rank was not too good to be there. Our college has a very simple admisaion process, from what i remember, you have to fill the counselling form of this college which opens during the time of JOSAA counselling but on its own website. Then as the counselling starts if you got a seat then you have to pay the seat acceptance fee amount but if you didn't get one then you can wait for spot rou d which will have a high chances for your selection for that you have to pay an extra amount over seat acceptance fees. The eligibility criteria of more than 75 percent aggregate in 12th is not there but you should have to be JEE Advance qualifier. There are no other exams for getting admission in this college, the only exam which you have yo give is JEE Advance and the minimum criteria is the passing marks...Read More

IIST Dream college For Space Enthusiasts

I have qualified Jee Advance. I have applied for IITs and I got IIT Bhubneshwar, Metallurgy in 2nd round. But I like Space Science from my childhood, So I opt for Aerospace Engineering in IIST over Metallurgy in IIT. It is really easy to ISRO being an IISTian. I have applied for ISI but I was not qualified by 2 marks. For admission in IIST, You have to qualified Jee Advance.
