What Students Say

Likes

Campus atmosphere is good and i didn't find any discrimination between the local and outsiders.
Faculty is too good. If u have any study related query you can ask them anytime.
Campus area is large as compared to other aktu colleges and infrastructure is also up to mark

Dislikes

Sport facilities is very poor here and not a single period for sports.
In courses the focus is more in theory as compared to practical. And coding culture is very poor.
In first and second semester the subjects are very irrelevant to the courses like we have subjects likes chemistry soft skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

In first semester the subjects are very irrelevant to the courses like we have subjects like maths, electronics,soft skills , chemistry only math is relevant to the courses and English for our personality development and communication. Otherwise course curriculum is very outdated.

Internships Opportunities

Opportunity of internship is not such good but you should work hard and you can get opportunities by talking to the teacher and making a project. Many students of 6th semester got internship in very well known companies like acko etc.

Placement Experience

Placement is decent almost 80-85% students get placed when we talk to our seniors we came to know that almost ever students get placed in CS aiml IT data science branch but in branches like mechanical electrical only 40-50% students get placed and condition is really bad.

Fees and Financial Aid

109603 (General,OBc,SC,ST) 7000 registration fee UP SCHOLARSHIP IS AVAILABLE FIR THE STUDENTS OF ALL THE CATEGORY 50000(GENERAL,EWS,OBC) STUDENTS AND 90000 For (SC,ST) students.and many other private scholarship is there.

Campus Life

The biggest cultural fest of galgotia is galgotia's unifest and the biggest technical fest is Technojam and both held around between march-april. Galgotia's unifest is the biggest fest in the north india. There are more than 20 clubs here which are active. And we can join these clubs in ist semester according to our choice. Infrastructure is really good and well managed.

Admission

I had given an exam called jee mains after that you can apply for aktu counselling through which you can take admission in aktu( government or private) colleges. Galgotia's environment is too good and here classes is from mon- fri so you can work on your other skills and personality as well. And Here I got aiml in second round of aktu counselling that's why this is my first choice campus life is good fees is relevant this is the another factors to choose this clg.

Faculty

Faculty is really good. If you have any study related query you can ask them anytime and they respond as well. Overall faculty is good and provided all the things which we want from them. And easily approachable you can ask any thing beyond your studies as well. They are very kind in nature.

Night Life

The library facilities in campus is really good and the library is well maintained and they have variety of books. It is very very accessible and issueable for us. Cafeteria is also good. Almost every kind of food is available there in very relevant price.

My overall Journey

Likes

Everything was good except placements.
Campus was so engaging , has a beautiful campus , one can get to learn a lot .
Faculties was from either IIT's or NIT's with good humor and knowledge.

Dislikes

Student has to suffer a lot during placements for students who are from Biotechnology .
No one takes responsibility , if a student is unplaced.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become elligible for campus placements.From top companies like google , microsoft to new startups like Raspa , Protium all companes visits , Highest package was 96 LPA , 40% students get placed , rest suffers , if one is from core branch then they get chances for PSUs and other organization.

Good Faculty : Faculty are supportive to your carrer growth they will provide guidance whenever you needed...
Campus Facilities: Infrastruture,labs everything is up to date accoding to the current need of the present.
Curriculum: Up to date industry oriented syllabus .

Dislikes

Strict Rules: rules are somewhere more stricter for college id,entering and exiting time .
Crowded classes: some classes are crowded sometimes
placement competition many students participating in the placements.

Placement Experience:

At NIET Greater Noida students becomes eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th sem, with placement preparation starting earlier . Companies from IT sectors and others are visiting college. In my batch time the company that comes are JP Morgan & Chase , Razorpay, Juspay, TCS, Cognizant etc.

Slow process and management takes a lot of time to do work

In my college placement is good and increasing every year as I have heard from s masters senior in past 4 days 1000 students have been placed and placements are still going on and there is a dedicated placement cell in our college and also skilled students can get upto 40-60LPA and average is 6-7 LPA and my plans after degree is to go for masters as I have intrest in MTECH too and 60-70% gets placement and it's still increasing and companies visit such as wipro hcl LG delloite etc

My Engineering College

Likes

I liked the faculty here, they are well qualified and experienced
The way the faculty is trying hard with the students is very good.
Students are good here too they are cooperative with each other.

Dislikes

Library doesn't open after college hours.
Less events organised here in comparison of other engineering colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i did diploma in computer science engineering so after that i chose to do BTech in cse for better opportunities. Here I am really learning some computer languages by which I am making some projects. Exams timing is they held in evey 5-6 months.and this is a decent time to prepare for the semester exams.

I like the Teacher behavior and attitudes
I like the Sports curriculum , they conduct sports event monthly
I like the admin office, because it always neat and clean

Dislikes

The hostel and mess food is not good as expected
The placement system is too bad , no proper support
The student facilities is not good , like lifts etc

If you are BTech CSE student , you dont need to worry more because they invite good number of companies to take placement , but you need that particular skills to get placed. Almost 40 to 50% student got placement for an average of 4.5 LPA

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Professer behavior is very cool and good
Classes is conducted in normal class in which some classes have A.C while some not
Campus area is so big in which staff parking and student parking is separtely available

Dislikes

College time is bad . It is same as school timing
Student must maintain 75% attendence to avoid detention in CIA
It does not give a proper break after semester exam

Placement Experience:

The placement is average as same as other college . It provide 6-12 LPA package for who have skills as market required The placement criteria for student is above 8 CGP and no backlogs in all semester My plans after getting the degree is to join a good company for a good life The percentage of getting placements is above 80%

I didn't choose that because their course curriculum with their faculties and college culture is not fit for getting placement. Insights of GCET

At the time of counselling, GCET is my 3rd preference as I have properly researched about it and matches with my eligibilty criteria as well. I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Life at Galgotias College: Beyond the Classroom

To get admission in this college there are 2 methods one is through direct admission and other through aktu counselling (jee mains score).Cutoff is reased by aktu to get admission in college.
