This two year postgraduate programme focuses on the advanced knowledge of the application of biotechnology in various fields like agriculture, healthcare, industry etc. Biotechnology utilizes biological systems, living organisms or its parts to develop or create different products and it also grabs new possibility to make changes in the organisms’ genetic material (DNA). The curriculum is a mixture of both theoretical and practical sessions that helps students learn the implementation of the subject. To encourage formation of research aptitude in students, a research project is included in the curriculum.

Iam here 1st year pg student. I only completed the fisrt sem so i dont have the prpper ideas about the internship componies. But for us there is internship in both years.zara biotech is one of the companies which provide internship for our college.

Msc general biotechnology in st josephs college irinjalakuda is self financing course. I was alloted to the management quota.so per sem fee is 50,000. Total 4 sem is there so 2 lakh fees. I had completed 1st semester. Ou college provide e grants scholorship.

There is womens club , NCC, NSS , arts club and many other clubs. These all are active groups with high enthusiastic members.There is dance club ,drawing club etc for enhancing students extra caricular activity.

Iam accomadated in pg outside the college in 1 km from the college .iam not in the college hostel. Hostel meal quality is average but affordable for all students and also good rooms and study areas are prpvided in college hostel.

St josephs college irinjalakuda is one of the best womens college in kerala.And the infrastructure and lab facilities here are so good. Good management and also experienced teachers and faculties. Its a Naac A++ approved college.

In Msc biotechnology currently 3 proffesers are teaching. The faculties are so Good, and they provide proper guidence and support. In first semester there is 3 subjectsm littile bit difficult but through proper support and study we can approch the exams.

There is no gd or interview for the admission. The admission process was online and they contacted through mobile. Applied to the college through the college website. And reported at as per the information for further process.

The locality of the college is safe inside and out. The college provide gym facilities.gym is free to all students. All needed facilities are there. Outside the college is also good in safery and there are food spots near the college.
