Likes

Good faculty, the teachers are very sincere.
Good food. The overall canteen isn’t overpriced.
Good crowd. The crowd in this university is good.

Dislikes

Bad syllabus. Not good in maintaining the syllabus.
Exams are due every week in the month. .
Not able to complete the syllabus in such short time.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching methods are good and the faculty is also good. The level of exams are neutral, not so hard and not so easy. It's doable and the time given between the exams is null. No days are given for preparation.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are widely available in my campus and it's good. The internships are started from the first year only. You have to maintain CGPA in order to get good internships as well as good placement.

Placement Experience

Placement of my college is good. The average package is around 7-8 LPA and the highest package that was given this year was 20 LPA and it's pretty good according to today's competition around the world.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships which helps the students in gaining more knowledge towards the syllabus they have given us. The fee structure overall is fine and manageable. My fees is 200000 per annum and it's fine with the course I'm studying.

Campus Life

The campus life is fine. There aren't that many clubs in participate in and there aren't that many fests. No social groups have been formed until now as far as I have observed. So yeah, the sports area of this campus is fine.

Admission

I basically gave JEE but I didn't score too well so I had to apply to different colleges such as VIT etc. I got decent rank in VIT but as it was far from my home, I decided to go for SRM and the overall faculty of this college is good.

Faculty

Course structure is not so bad but it is impossible to cover the syllabus in such a short amount of time. Students fail the exam due to this and it's not relevant for us. They should give us more time to cover.

Night Life

The cafeterias gets closed at 6 pm but the nightlife of the campus is amazing. It's so good in the winters especially. And playing football or cricket or any sport in the campus is just next level experience with your friends.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
