Course Curriculum Overview

2

This course was just an backup for my CA so i did not have any expectations but the experience so far is just horrible . The timings are fixed although the college gives you hreathing space but only to put you under another deadline for assignment . Althought the exams seem relatively easier but me being an CA student could be one reason for me thinking so

Internships Opportunities

3

Accenture and ey were the latest ones to come rhey came with good offers and many students applied , applications were around 1300 something for each and 100 were selected for each of tgem with a stiend of 23000 per month

Placement Experience

5

I actually have no idea about placements . Altough the basics are that the students are eligible from 3rd semester and companies like accenture , e&y , Delloite has come for placements the percentage of students who get placed as intern are around 30-35% . I just plan to open my own CA firm

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is increasing in the first year it was 78000 Then for 2nd year it it 81000 , one can get many scholarships in a year they provide an option to apply for more than 20-25 scholarships and application is really easy and 30-40% chance you would get it if it is from college side , there are govt scholarships which are harder to get. The amt varies from 50% upto 90% of fees paid . Out of 81000 - 76000 is tution fees and 2000 is second language fees 2000 as other admin fees

Campus Life

1

The club involvement is at bottom , other cultural or social activities things are just forced on you bu their own ways . The infrastructure is good but whenever there is a need of crowd in their events they play the attendance card

Admission

I applied to MES , Christ , Jain , PES and josephs . Got accepted in all but chose josephs because had some of my friends joining them and it was just a backup so i was like why not go for some dun though the fun didn't last long .The eligibility is good marks if you are non chritian. If u r chritian u r automatically eligible especially Mallu from kerala. The process of admision starts by simple filling of forms then onto interviews and done

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is around 1 for every 70-80 . They are very approachable but could have their own egos intact which is bad . The faculties whom I don't like are immaculate who in a class of 50mins speaks for 80 mins in 1.5x speed , mam u just told to take a 2 min rest so don't imform us about what we read 2 months ago. Exams are really easy . Internals are of 25 marks later converted into 20 marks and 25 marks mid term and 60 marks end sems

Night Life

1

Gym is clean but not big enough for the number of students , library is actually great and top tier , cafteries are on the hottom in taste and no subsidised food available as per govt orders . You can play sports after 12 noon . Famous places to hangout woukd be karak chai , smoke lane , YDH

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
