Course Curriculum Overview

3

Its the PHD part which i can get in my course influenced me to join it. Curriculum is quite good. And i think before joining the college i was ready to face the real world. Its only the lab session which needs to be improved as it seems to be a bit difficult to do lab work without the actual equipments needed.

Internships Opportunities

4

We havent enrolled ourselves for an internship yet. But its our last year so we are promised to get our internship done as. Soon as possible. But thats after our 5th semester exams. As we are told our internship would be related to resaerch in biomolecules and immunology. We might be going to some high level institutions or universities for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee of my course has varied in the past three years, when i took admission my annual fee including all registration, tution, and all other fees made upto 12000 and in 2nd year it was only 10000 and in my last year that is the current year our fee was around 14000. Talking about scholarships or financial aid, i dont think even students have any idea about that. Its pretty sad that we just go to college just for a degree without any concerns about what will this give us in future. Or does this degree we are here after gonna give us in the future?

Campus Life

5

Annual festivals are quite a lot happening in our college. Since i dont participate in them i dont know the names either. The range of books in library is quite large. As it seems the library of our college is well maintained and all items and books are available there. The technological faculties in the classrooms is pretty advanced as well. As we got the smartboards and 24×7 electricity supply as well as an inverter. Sports and extracurricular activities happen every month and i too participate in them. Like cricket, football volleball, tennis, badminton, judo, taekwondo, wusho and much more.

Admission

I didnt applied for any other colleges. The asmission process is pretty simple. One has to give an exam of cuet and the acquired marks decide what college does the fellow go to. Once reached the destination you sign up for the subjects opted and fee according to the subject is to be paid and wallah. You are admitted.

Faculty

3

Talking about faculty to student ratio. It is quite difficult to conclude all the departments staff of how they percieve their students. Talking about my two departments which is CBC as major and evs as minor. The cbc staff treats us all whether its major or minor like a teacher should do. No favouritism no misbihavior towards students and vice versa. And its quite good while learning from them and they also share personal aspects of life with us as well and are very motivative, while as my minor department. I dont think that its the departments fault but that one HOD who is running it. Talking about the exams. There is a internal session and external session in which those who study quite a lot get good grades, those who study during exams get also enough no. Of grades while as those who just dont come to college, and only show up at exams just end up in backlog sessrions

Night Life

5

There is only one cafeteria which is still under construction. Since i dont go to a hostel i dont know about there criteria and timings There a very hangout spots in our college like in every corner of it. For example sir syed park which is quite maintained pretty well actually. Outside we have couple of restaurants with not so much amazing food And yeah the neighborhood is pretty friendly. One can easily roam at even midnight

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
