Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is one of the reasons why people switch to amity. Talking about bachelors, the curriculum covers the entire basics required by a bachelor psychology student. It includes practical, writing researches, and theoretical subjects. Students are introduced to multiple fields of psychology and have the ability to choose electives they are interested in such as Life span development, organizational psychology, abnormal psychology, gerontology and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees is around 6 Lacs however if a student is from an Amity school, their bachelor fees gets reduced to around 4.5L Students scoring above 95% get their fees waived off to around 36k per semester. Usual fees per sem stands around 80-90k

Campus Life

5

Amity is well known for its fest and events. Many celebrities and well known figures are hosted in the campus. The 2 day annual festival is the best time for an amitian with lots of competition in various fields (e-gaming, dance, music, games). It usually happens around the month of feb. The library is one thing amitians are proud of. It has 3 levels and contains all the necessary refernce books and journals. Each floor has computers. campus has a huge ground that conducts various sports, From football ground, to horse riding ground, badminton and basketball court, table tennis, swimming, every sport is encouraged and has a dedicated field. There are more than 20 student run clubs on university and institutional levels.

Admission

I only applied in amity due to its well known psychology course and because it was pretty near. The admission process was online and included recording a video of me answering three questions during the covid years. The questions were such to evaluate the students understanding of the world, awareness, general knowledge.

Faculty

5

the faculty to student ratio is 1:80 but individual help is provided if the student reaches out. One of the best faculty was Dr. Siddharth (organisational psychologist) who made sure class was interactive and had unique approach to teaching. The course curriculum is well put and tries to cover multiple facets of psychology.

Night Life

5

Our favourite hangout spot has to be H block because its lively all the time. The main area is filled with other students randomly jamming and vibing with their guitars. During celebration of certain festival, H block looks very beautiful. Followed by those events are the dj nights thats not to be missed. H block has canteens, dominos, south indian plaza, Wh smith, salon, fruit shop, book shop, nirulas, and ccd There is a huge gym and arcade area as well The best hangout spot where every amitian has been is the Balli road (from gate 2)

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Reviewed on Jan 21, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.
