Course Curriculum Overview

5

I've been a keen coder and tech geek since my school time. Maybe that justify the decision of taking admission in this course. it covers all the technical aspects as well as it focuses on enhancing your communication skills throughout the curriculum. It covered all the major programming languages that are being used in the companies these days. Areas of improvement would be including more subjects that can help boost up our confidence when we are presenting our facts. I've been from online bath, so I know that everything can be held online and we can learn anything online these days. The frequency of exams got throughout the year, including different tests and minus held in between to cover the half of the syllabus. then the major cover the full syllabus and it determines the Semester upgrade.

Internships Opportunities

5

There were many companies that visited Amity during the internship fair. They took technical interviews and test before shortlisting the students. I got my name, shortlisted in three companies from which I chose Xebia which is a service based company in Gurgaon. I was assigned the role of her first developer, and I had to develop an application that can calculate the carbon for Print of every laptop within the organisation to reduce the carbon emissions in offices. We were team of five, and we had Senior supporting us on this and after a span of two months, we were successfully able to deliver the product to the company. It was an wholesome experience, experience, working with them and learning from them. Moreover, I learnt many lessons after committing many mistakes in my first company. Also, I made a lot of connections there that can actually help me in future.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for campus placement from fourth year. They shouldn't be having any Back logs and not be having CGPA less than six. The companies that visited during 2023 batch were Amazon Kybdrl Nokia cadence Tech Mahindra Ericsson Thales shell, and many more. Offers they came with fall in the range of 4 to 20 LPA. The package of our batch was 61.74 LPA and the lowest package or the average package was around 3.5 LPA. Almost 94% of the students got placed and others for Masters or other reasons why they don't wanna appear for placement. My plan after this degree is doing MBA after getting industry exposure for around 23 years for that I need to prepare for CAT examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees for my course is around 365000. This includes tution fees and all the other extra curricular expenses. If you have scored more than 90% in 10+2 you can get straight 50% waiver and if more than 93% you can get a 100% waiver on collegee fees. For SC STs and Economically backward classes, they provide seperate scholarships for which they have to appear for tests before beginning of college. Also there is reservation for students applying with sports quota too.

Campus Life

5

There are many fest happening around Amity over the year. The two major fests are Amity youth fest and sangathan. they are held in the winters. Amity has a huge library, which has thousands of books for different courses and also for extra learnings. Amity has smart boards, which helps teachers to explain the things better with the help of videos and projectors. Sports, and extra curricular activities offered includes shooting swimming, cricket, football, badminton, and all the major sports. For those who are playing at state level, Amity offers app platform to compete as a representative of Amity with other colleges. There are many social groups and classes that you can join in different departments. They work on the technical aspects, culture aspects, and you will get a lot of exposure if you're joining them from the starting of the Semester.

Admission

I have applied to After my 10+2 which includes UPTU colleges, Chandigarh University, Thapar University, Sharada University, LPU University and many more. I got confirmed admission from majority of them but the distance was the barrier. I would have to opt for a hostel or a PG if I'll go to some other location. This is the reason I chose Amity over others. Even I applied in DU and IP colleges, but I didn't get my name in the first two list, but when I got my name in the third list, I already submitted the fees in Amity. Admission process of MD goes like you have to appear for a examination, which includes the aptitude and logical thinking. After finishing the test you need to to appear for a group discussion, and if you pass that you will get an admission letter, and then you can submit the fees.

Faculty

5

There are around 3000 faculties and 780 students in our batch. Faculties share a bond with students, they try to be supportive as much as they can. For those who get stuck or get doubts, they arrange special classes for those students. I mean its like they focus on the learning rather than the number of hours they need to contribute for that. I personally liked Devesh sir who was our communication teacher and parul mam who was our C++ lecturer. The way they present themselves, I really admire their personalities. There are three forms of exams over the year - two minors and one major. Difficulty level is moderate and can be cleared easily. Most students clear them in one go, for others, they get back log and they have to appear again for the exam. College curriculum is really relevant as per our course since it includes technical aspects, soft skills and all.

Night Life

4

Amity has it separate Gym along with an eating areas, which offers protein rich food. it has many cafeterias that includes wide varieties of food from different backgrounds. Also it has famous outlets like Domino's Pizza Hut Nirulas inside the campus only. It has many shops outside campus too. Amit has different hostels which you have to opt during the admission time it includes Ac as well as non-AC rooms. Campus timings are till 7:30 PM for hostel. Amity has its own gaming area which includes bowling, table tennis and many games. Locality is really safe and students roam around the campus over the night. I think that's the best thing about living in a hostel.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

It was really far from my home location so I looked for a reliable solution.

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .
