Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted ECE, as the this branch is every green stream and is going to be much demanded soon in the future. But the subjects in this ECE are very tricky yet easy, only if we have a good faculty teaching the subject to us. Each semister is completed in 5 to 6 months and in this 5 to 6 months they conduct 2 slip tests, 2 mid exams and 1 semister end exam. Improvement must be made in the faculty.

Internships Opportunities

4

AICTE was one of the intership oppurtunities provided to us till now. Maybe in the coming few days we may get to see more intenship oppurtunities. The intenships provided are stipend based, most of them are certified cources, which are usefull during the placement. As I'm still in 2nd year we don't get any projects to do, from the next year (3rd year) we may see projects to face.

Placement Experience

4

This college is affiliated to Osmania University till 2023 but from 2023 (i.e, my batch) the college became autonomous so not sure how the placements are going to be. on asking our 2020 pass out seniors, most of the placements offered are of call centre with a low package. Till date the highest package was 28 LPA and I'm not sure about the lowest package. My aim as soon as completing the degree is to get a good high package job. Some of the companies visited and offered are Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, Wipro, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees - 100000/- Common fees - 1500/- Special fees -1000/- Records, Assignment books & manuals -1500/- Skill development courses fee - 5000/- NBA Accrediation fees - 3000/- And examination fees will cost you around 1300/- to 1500/-. This fee structure is for managment seat and OC General categry. Transport service is also available which costs you 29500/- which is fixed i.e, doesn't depend on the distance.

Campus Life

3

They conduct 3 to 4 events out of which are 2 religious fests and other 2 are events (Fresher and Urvi). No much expections from events/fests. The books in the library cover all the genres of book that too the latest versions. Every classroom has a projector for easy teaching and understanding of concepts. Coming to sports, the only sport that is taken serious is basketball and badminton. There are photography club, dance clus, astronomy club and music club in the club. There is also a team of students who conduct events.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges is because this college is in the heart of the city and is easy for transport and takes less time compared to other colleges. I took management seat because I didn't get EAMCET councelling seat as I belong to OC and the cut off is too less so i opted this college based on the reputation of this college. I tried other colleges too but all the admissions were full so got to stick with this. Admission process is not at all complex as the college hss become autonomous and is easy to tale admission.

Faculty

3

Total students are approx 2500 to 2800 and faculy are around 90 to 100. All the junior lecturors are kind and helpfull but the senior faculty have professional attitude and won't come out of thier character full of ego towards the students and expect students to go and do everything according to them, but wont consider students opinion. One of the best faculty i feel is Dr. K Aruna Kumari (chemistry department), she is the only one who understands and is encouraging person in the college.

Night Life

3

No night life in this college as the college has hostel facility. Library and canteen are neat and hygenic but as the campus is too small sometimes canteen fells filled. There are many cafes and restaurents to visit near the college which are very good and vibe full. Locality near the college is good and is complete survillance under the police around the clock.

Other Applied Colleges

Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology - [VJIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I selected this college in my EAMCET councelling but i didn't get seat there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
