Talking about academics , faculty and teaching quality ,I can surely say my college is one of the best colleges of the country , but very less importance is given to extra curricular activities when compared to academics. Overall my college is a great college to be graduated from.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of B.com (hons) is semester based and 6 semesters sum up to complete the course. The college is a government college affiliated to Calcutta University and follows its exam pattern. Generally, written examination is of 80 marks each While 10 marks each are alloted to internal assessment and attendance respectively.
Placement Experience
My college is one of the best government college in East India. Thus many famous companies like Deloitte, Wipro and others do come for placement programs in our college and provide job opportunities for final year students
College Events
Many events are celebrated in our college . The Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations are notable mentions. Saraswati puja , Basant utsav (holi) , annual fests called The QUEST and SOCIALS are also celebrated
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very very feasible . The total fees for the 3 year course does not exceed ?3000. The per semester fees is around ?580 which is collected at the college office at the beginning of every semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship to the brilliant students as well as the underprivileged and students below the poverty level. There is also a special scholarship for girls known as the KANYASHREE scholarship.
Campus Life
The main goal of the Goenka college of commerce and business administration is to focus only on studies. But the college still has many sports team such as Football team, cricket team, volleyball team . The college also organises annual sports every year for the students to showcase their talent
Hostel Facilities
The college is in my hometown. I live at my own home. The college is around 5-6 kilometres away from my home. It takes me 15-20 minutes to reach the college, since I opt for metro to central metro station.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a great alumni network. Many pass-outs of the college are still in touch with the college and its students and they help the college in organising many events. The senior students are friendly and helpful to the juniors creating a friendly environment in the college campus.
Faculty
Goenka college of commerce and business administration is a very highly rated college . It is a fully government affiliated college . Thus the faculty of the college is very much experienced, highly educated and friendly with the students Thus they help the students pave a path for a bright future ahead
