- infrastructure is very good but college needs more blocks to accumulate large no. of students. Constructions should be done fast.
- most of the faculty are from other states and well qualified. This makes student faculty interaction to be in english which increases communication skills
- Placements are good at our university compared to other colleges .
Dislikes
- Eventhough the college premises are vast enough blocks are less.
- University have some School rules like should come to campus by 9.10 and shouldn't leave before 3.30
- fee is quiet high for coming batches. has condonation for each course instead of overall attendance
Course Curriculum Overview
course structure is not as good as the other structure because most of the topics are just said in basics. I choose ece to my best interest and it is also best in our college. The curriculum prepares us for real time industry recquirement with training sessions and also some courses. Teaching should be more accurate and shouldn't be only ppt based but should be more understandable for students. Mid exam will be after 2 months of sem start and External will be at the end of 4th month.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides internship for final year students at our college itself as lab assistants in their departments. There are many internship providing companies like intellipaat, acmegrade, paypaal with a stipend of Rs.10000/month. students can do any project based on their interest with their faculty. Students can also write research papers under our faculty members.
Placement Experience
Placemets at SRU are good compared to other colleges in warangal. Students are industry prepared with trainings from 3-2 semester. Placements start from 3-2 and goes on til 4-2. Accenture recruits highest no. of students from all the departments . some of the companies that visit SRU are acmegrade, flipkart, amazon, paypal, Cisco, opentext, intellipaat, tcs, tech mahindra so on.. 40% of the final year students from all the branches get placed. But from 2 years the placements are less due to recession in IT sector. With the cgpa and knowledge i have I'm eligible for most of the top companies and I believe I'll be placed in any company that visits our university.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for ECE department is 150000 in general. it may vary for other students , I pay 120000 per year with specialisation of AIML costs 10000. in 1st sem we pay tution fee library fee and cution fee a total of 55000 and the remainig in next sem. Exam fee for every sem is 2500. College allows study loans and provides scholorships.
Campus Life
Sparkrill is an annual cultural event that takes place at our university for 2 days . Many technical fests happen in a sem like Ytra and technical club activities takes place every week. there are many clubs like cultural club, literary club, garden club, yoga club, theatre and drama club, departmental clubs and many more . Central library has large stock of any book for bookish people. College premises is provided with wifi at every corner . labs and seminar halls are good . Extra curricular activities are much supported at our college like sports, clubs .Our college has an non profitable world wide community called IEEE. Every student has a student portal where they can keep a track on their academics. There are many social media pages for our university on linkdin, instagram, facebook which posts every event details.
Admission
I choose this college because of the placements provided in there. In warangal compared to other colleges SRU provides better placements opportunities.I have applied to KITSW in ECE department and ECI department and selected in ECI but i choose ECE on ECE at SRU. Entrance exam for SRU is TS EAMCET and AP EAMCET and management seats are also available. Cutoff varies every year and for each dept it is different.
Faculty
Faculty at our university are mostly Doctorates in their respective domains and are mostly from other states. most of the faculty will be friendly with students. Sagar sir our VLSI faculty is the best faculty according to me because he has a lot of knowledge and not like other faculty who just reads PPTs. We have only one mid of 60 marks with internal assessments and external of 40marks. external is an open book exam with only books no electronic gadgets are allowed. Evaluation student friendly according to me
Night Life
Our college has the best hostel facilities but quiet high fee but hostel facilities worth it. During sparkrill event 1 day will be the pro night with celebrety coming. The college is fully decorated with lights shining like a bright star in a dark sky. We have MUN event every sem which has cultural events like camp fire and live band where our sangeetic club memebers engage in an energitic singing and dance. Hostlers play batmenton and sports like cricket, kabaddi after college times
