College infrastructure and surrounding is great
Smart classes and free WiFi was provided in the campus.

Dislikes

Teachers are not that good . They don't know the concept well.
Classes are not held properly as per the schedule

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in literature since the beginning. And the course curriculum is perfect. I want to discover the deeper aspects of English literature hence I choosed the course. Total 8 exams will held.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 2160 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

An amount of rupees 2160 was taken at the time of admission. And additional charges of rupees 2000 was taken for seminar purpose.Thereafter no extra fees was demanded by the college. And compensation was given to students with reservation.

Campus Life

Campus Life is full of fun and enjoyment. It feels like home hear in the campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited inside the premises. A lot of scope was provided to students who are into sports. Class room has smart boards and free WiFi.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms and infrastructure are good . Foods given to students is average and adjustable . Hostel fees was deposited at the time of hostel admission a amount of 8780 rupees.Free WiFi, bed and study table are given to students.

Admission

Ravenshaw has a great legacy and is considered as the pride of Odisha. It is also the oldest educational institution of Odisha. It's dream of every student to get admitted to Ravenshaw. It's my first choice and fortunately I got selected

Faculty

There are total sixteen faculty members in our department. Out of them prof Urmishree Bedamata is my favourite one because of her teaching style and methods.The student to teacher ratio was quite good.

Night Life

Campus Life is very active even after Working hours. The gymnasium, cafeteria and library remains open till 9 pm. Hostel gate remains open for boys till 11 pm and for girls the timing is 10:30. Front lawn is one of the most famous hangout spot in Ravenshaw University.

My college experiences

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love literature and want to become a writer in the future. For this reason I chose arts stream and studied English literature. The curriculum fully supports the students to excel in their careers both in academic line as well as public servant jobs. From writing CV to application, Resume, and even to face interviews, this course prepared me for upcoming big events in my career. My soft skills developed especially after i joined this course and University. In every six months a semester is conducted by the University, it does not bias on markings, as the paper is checked outside the University. The difficulty level of these exams is moderate to hard.

I'm doing masters in english and my course is very good if you are interested in literature. If you are a literature enthusiast then my course tends to provide you with vast knowledge about the history of english literature and british literature, european literature etc. But the only drawback is it doesn't provide placements or many job opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Historical distribution is quite good in my curriculum which widens my scope of learning for further exams. The curriculum definitely prepares me for real world applications with its evergreen content. However, some creative aspects can be added in the curriculum. Exams happen at regular intervals and the difficulty level is moderate.

Remarks:

Yes, my college was most of positive side. I had some good experience with good teachers and some with some bad teachers. But overall it was a good experience. i would recommend every one if you want to join. do it.

RAVENSHAW UNIVERSITY, CUTTACK is the one and only NAAC A++ tagged Govt university of Odisha also one of in India. Its everyone's dream to study in my University. Ravenshaw univerrsity history is more historic then other colleges and institutes. If you are lucky then you will get the admission into this. Other private and othr colleges you can get admitted by scoring avergae mark or with good amount of money but to get into Ravenshaw only your very good marks and luck is needed for it. So it;s the reason. I directly applied into this uniersity and get admission as am eligible for it and lucky also. The admission process is normal as other colleges.
