Short review on Chitkara University, Punjab Campus

The curriculum present here is very rigid though it include some emerging fields like AI , blockchain and data analyticals. This curriculum is highly relevant for students who are in need of entry level industrial job as it includes lot of practical knowledge and research. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with the information rather than the information itself. The examination structure is quite average and fair for which it is easy for an average to score good marks.

The college provide lots of oppurtunity for internship to students during the last semester of their course where student are given a chance to get an industrial experience and know deeply how the real world things work. If students are not able to grab internship oppurtunity the college provide them to work on a problem project.

The placements in this University usually start in the month of August to February will lots of companies used to visit in the campus, conduct test, interviews and select the candidates accordingly. University faculty also help the students in preparation of placement time. An average of 60-70% of students get placed every year.

I took admission in 2019, at that time the admission fee per semester was 50000 as an constant amount for the entire BCA course , there are many scholarship provided by the colleges such as category , women and student with the excellent acadmic skills.

The college include well maintained classrooms, hostels, cafeterias, libraries and laboratories. There are lots of clubs, events and fests to make the environment highly engaging. Also, there are many sports events, cultural programmes and technical competitions to make developing mindset of students.

I personally choose this university because it is located in very prime area of Punjab with lots of transportation facilities available. Also this college have a very renault name among colleges located in Punjab. This college provides good placements oppurtunities to the students and the curriculum is also good as compared to other colleges.

The faculty to student ratio at this university is 1:30. Overall, the faculty present there is highly engaging and teach students as per the traditional method whereas my suggestion is that they go move to modern teaching techniques. Some of the faculty members are highly strict and unapproachable. In one semester there are two types of examination conducted which is internal and end term examination. This exams are designed to test both theortical and practical knowledge.

There are lot of facilities available in the campus itself as cafeteria is open till 10PM , libraries are open till 9PM and gym and other sport activity areas usually close at 9PM. There are many late night activity conducted by student and staff itself such as gaming night, movie night and many more.
