Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the cource curriculum at MMCOE Pun at 7/10, particularly for its relevance to industry standards. The curriculum provides a strong foundation for industry readiness and higher studies some improvement in research opportunities and teaching methodologies could elevate its effectiveness. regular exams ensure consistency and innovative elevation methods could make learning more engaging and relevant. There are areas for improvement also : There is a need to introduce elective subjects to allow student to specialize in area like blockchain, iot or Quantum computing. Also there is a need to integrate a new age topic like generative ai, prompt engineering or age computing into relevant programs.

Internships Opportunities

4

1.Internship opportunities Internships are usually undertaken after the 4 semester that is second year or during semester breaks. Final year students often do a 6 month internship as part of their academic curriculum. Eligibility for internships: Internships are open to students with GPA about 6.5 some companies may set higher academic requirements varies with the companies students may also seek off-campus internship with faculty approval. 2.Companies and their roles offered 1) Infosys : Roles- Software development interns tasks - as per company rquirements such as backend development, debugging etc. 2) TCS : Roles- web developement and QA testing interns Tasks- UI/UX enhancement , manual testing and database management

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester ie. 3rd year and there are many workshops typically begin in the 5th semester focusing on aptitude, coding also soft skills. There are many tech companies which visits MMCOE for placements like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant Capgemini, Accenture, IBM and many more. Highest package was around 25 LPA and average package revolves around 4.5 to 6 LPA as per branch. Core branch students often persue higher studies for specialized certificates to enhance employability.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly collage fee was something around 80,000 , but i have applied for OBC so i paid fees nearly 47000 . This collage gives fess consession and for ST/SC categories you get full fee waiver. only gernaral category has to pay full fees. when i paid my Collage fees the fee structure was like...1. Tution fees - 35000 2. Development fees - 10000 and 3. caution money = library deposit - 2000 therefore total was around 47000 . also exam fees of university exams like endsem and insems anually is 3400 so total fees i paid was 50000. For SC/ST category student there is full fee waiver they only have to pay exam fees around 3400 and library deposit 2000 so total fees for SC/ST is 5000. Hostel + mess fees is 101000 is includes deposit of 2000 . it is same for all categoris futher if you apply any scholerships you can get some consession for hostel fees also for SC/ST category only. Management quota is based on demand and availabilty. still genra idea for their fees is like 2.5 lac to 5 lac. thid is one time fees ofc. afterwards they have to pay for open category fees each year.

Admission

1. Collages i have applie to, I have applied to Vishawakarma University also mitwpu and pict Pune as well as Sinhgad institutes and mmcoe Pune. 2. i had confirmed admissions to MITWPU , sinhgad institutes and MMCoe pune. 3. I choose MMCOE because, MMCOE had solid Reputation in IT related fields and a strong placement record especially in branches like computer science, IT and aids. While colleges like MITWPU have high tuition fees due to their private university status but MMCOE offers better affordability without compromising quality. Also MMCOE's Location in Pune provides exposure to internship, industry connection. 4.Admission Process Admissions are primarily through MHTCET and JEE Mains scores. Admission process was very straighforward and easy with sufficient support from faculty as well as staff.

5

The faculty to student ration is approxiamately 1:30, ensuring individual attention during practcal sessions and project works. Most of faculty memebers are approachable and they encourage students to clear doubts, ahe ask for guidance for projects. faculty members are assigned as mentors to a froup of students , facilitating academic and personal support. The curriculum for branches like AIDS, IT,Computer science is relevent and aligned with industry demands, covering modern topics like cloud computing and data analytics. Exam System : 1. there are many internal exams are taken . 2. one mid semeters exam conducted by university and one end semester exam is conducted. 3. Practical sesssions as well as mocks and exams are also conducted. 4. Exam are moderately difficult focusing on both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Night Life

2

Nightlife is worst in this collage like you can not roam inside collage campus after 9.30 pm. collage gates are closed as well as hostel gates. no student is allowed to walk or roam inside or go outside collage campus. according to safty point of view collage area as well as karvenagar is safe, with regular police patrolling.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
