THE XAVIER EXPERIENCE

I had actually two options to choose after my 12th that is 1.maths. 2.statistics as I am more interested in mathematics field so I started doing some research on these two subjects and I found that it you want to go in the teaching line then you must opt mathematics and for research field also but if you want to have job in your earlys then you can opt statistics as It will open both the corporate and government sector for your job and if you higher studies in this course ghen you can go upto data scientist if you have skills or else there are several government posts like statistical investigator from (ssc CGL ) and iss (Indian statistical officer) from upsc government exam

Actually the fees of statistics course vary from caste to caste but it differ from 500 or something.i belong to sc category and I paid 56350 and let me tell you that this course demands the highest fees in this college.if you belong to sc,st and OBC then you will get your 100% scholarship from the ekalyan portal of Jharkhand government

Xavier Utsav is the basically annual day in school with full of entertainment and culture fest darma dance etc. Teachers day is celebrated by the students A lot of inter college and inter department tournaments of every sports is held here Sarswati puja ,ethnicday, foundation day and many more festivals are celebrated very well in this college . A lot of journals and variety of newspaper are available in the central library of our collegeand I think every book that you will need in your academic will be available here. Trials are held for the selection of teams so that you can represent you college in inter college tournament. Sports facility is very good in our college

St Xavier's college is the only college in jharkhand where you can pursue graduation in statistics course. I have applied for so many colleges through cuet and got selected in some of them like central university of Rajasthan and paid course in bhu and hnbgu in odisha but I couldn't make it their because of the expenses and j was not able to fulfill it or my honest opinion will be that Sri Venkateswara college of delhi University is the best college for this course and you get very good placement there but I had low marks in cuet so couldn't make it there . St Xavier's college Ranchi is my home state college and I can get 100% scholarship here and also a good college for this course thats why I choosed this college . The admission process of this college is based on the entrance exam conducted by the college but don't worry there is less competition in the statistics course so you can easily get selected in this course .

Faculty members of our course (statistics) and generally of all course are not well qualified many of them are just with their masters degrees and very few have their phds.the faculties will always be available to you for your studies and nothing else ,never try to be over friendly with the faculties or else you would be in the hit list of their diaries. I would not like to name the faculties whom I like or not but some things you will have to focus on is that they totally follow the previous year notes only and nothing extra activity to teach you things . There are four exams in a year and 2 exams in each semester mid sem and end sem mid sem doesn't require attendance but to appear in end sem you must have 75 % attendance or else you will not be able to appear in your exams ( the college is very strict with the 75% attendance criteria)

The college made a very beautiful seating area inside the campus and I love to spend my time there and If toh focus on other faciliyof the college then this college have lots of facilities for students a cafeteria,a canteen, a volleycourt,a basketball court,a big football ground the sports facility will be open for the students for two hours 4 to 6 and after that you are not allowed to play any sport. Hostels are available in this college but only for the minorities like sc and st category students. Hostel fees- 10000 for a year Mess fees - 2700 per month
