Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quite updated and relevant compared to other colleges. Subjects like Data Structures and Algorithms are completed till 3rd semester only to provide students sufficient time for preparation of placements and internships. The curriculum assists us in our learnings for professional industry works. It also contains added subjects like Soft skills, Effective Communication, Aptitude Reasoning, Entrepeneurship training etc. More laboratories should be introduced for thorough practical knowledge. Tests/exams are held almost every month to reduce the stress of students at the end of semester. 75% attendance is mandatory for every student to appear for the exams. The exam difficulty level is moderate when compared to other IITs and NITs.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships were provided by companies like Paypal, ServiceNow, Nvidia, UKG, BuyHatke etc. Companies mainly ask for expertise in DSA and projects invloving web and app development assist in the recruitment. PPOs are often offered in the internships that make the process of placement much easier.

Placement Experience

4

The placements records are good with substantial growth in the recent years. Students become eligible to apply for campus placements from 7th semester. Highest package from on campus placement was 34lpa this year and average of 14lpa was observed. About 65-70% placement has been recorded this year. Most of the students here target for the placements, and some for post graduation or businesses

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees for 1st year from 2024 onwards is 2,69,880. From 2nd year onwards, it is 2,51,040. Tution, caution, registration, admission, development and lab fees are 216000, 12000, 1800, 600, 1400 respectively. Other charges like maintainance, medical aid fund and examination fee are also there There is no concession in fees for any category. No scholarship is provided by the institute. But students can avail private, national and respective state scholarships.

Campus Life

4

There is currently one cultural fest (NIIMACK), one inter branch and one inter IIITs sports competition annually. We have limited access to the MANIT library. Classes are held using projectors and ppts are used for teaching. Teachers also use markers and white board for elaborated explaining of the subject. Sports and extracurricular activites are somewhat restricted. There are student run social groups like 'Arunoday' that emphasise on working for social welfare

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels alloted for boys are NITTTR, RGPV and BHEL hostel. There are hostel only for 1st year students currently. Meal quality is between average to poor and menu lacks variety. Hostel registration is done on the college website along with admission. The hostels might not be the most affordable solution for all the students because of its high cost. But the hostel experience gives numerous memories to cherish. Localities around MANIT, like Harshvardhan, Vaishali and Nehru Nagar offer rooms and hostel for rent at suitable prices

Admission

I chose this college over other because of the high placement statistics. The college life is enchanced by the fact that it is in a capital city. Our mentor institute is an old NIT itself. I had applied to other IIITs like Ranchi, Nagpur, Una, Sonipat, but the average package of Bhopal was highest among them all. The admission is done through only the ranks of JEE Mains. This year's approx. branchwise rank cut off (for general, gender neutral) were: CSE (with and without specalisations) : 25k IT: 30k ECE: 35k

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is average as a there are ample teachers for each subject and for the laboratories as well. The faculty to student relationship is quite good in most of the cases as the teachers are very approachable unless he/she is a MANIT faculty. In that case he/she does not have enough time for after class discussions. There are 3 exams each semester, namely Mini Mid and End sems comprising 10,20 and 60 marks respectively. 10 marks are reserved for assignments given throughout the semester. Previous year question papers are quite helpful for most of the subjects.

Interview Experience

5

No group discussion was there for the admission process. cgchgxdgfxnfgzdfnszthdc, jhvhc, jhdhgc mvbxzzdfbZDVSztmgchj,b .kjbkc, hcghmxdbfxbv mnnmv ,hj gc h vyjcdfgzdfzb ,n jkbjkvbn bcghfzfdgxxcjhvkj jngxgzf

Night Life

4

As we do not have our permanent campus, there is no night life in the campus. But the city being capital offers various ventures to explore out at night. The localities around here are pretty safe and well suited for students. Famous places to visit are Lakes, dams and waterfalls. Multiple rich restaurants are there to lighten up your mood too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.Tech CSBS course is a new addition to the institute but it might be one of the most futuristic and upcoming course because of the diverse knowledge it can provide about the tech and the business as well. It's like a combination of Computer Science and MBA degree in itself. It might be one of the most relevant courses around the country and has been aided by none other than the famous tycoon TCS(by Tata). The curriculum is relevant if we keep the upcoming market and job opportunities where individual which has holistic and diverse knowledge has a good lead over everyone.
