What Students Say
Likes
- The first the thing that I liked about the college is the students and batchmates we get to learn around are all bright minded people. The college provides holistic development to everybody.
- The campus is quite large and has a lot of greenery around. There are several blacks for several branches. The social interactions in college are pretty good.
- Since I'm in the pioneer batch of the newly introduced CSBS course I don't know the placement scenario yet but the professor had promised us to be seated in every company coming for CS & IT branches.
Dislikes
- I didn't disliked anything particularly because it's totally a individual perspective but if I'd to improve something I would say that the college should make their own basketball and tennis courts.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Tech CSBS course is a new addition to the institute but it might be one of the most futuristic and upcoming course because of the diverse knowledge it can provide about the tech and the business as well. It's like a combination of Computer Science and MBA degree in itself. It might be one of the most relevant courses around the country and has been aided by none other than the famous tycoon TCS(by Tata). The curriculum is relevant if we keep the upcoming market and job opportunities where individual which has holistic and diverse knowledge has a good lead over everyone.
Internships Opportunities
The college has tie ups with different internship partners like ACMEgrade and internshala. They also provide PPO and paid internships from 3rd year. We have been recently advised to join a ACCENTURE challenge for startups and innovations as it is open for all kinds of streams and freshers too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees is 3,39,328 for four year course. The fee for odd semesters is 42,000(for both boys and girls) and the fee for even semesters is 42,832(for boys) and 42,416(for girls). There are scholarships available for a female and male topper student of the year 10,000 to each. The fees is constant and is not increasing.
Campus Life
The college campus is full of greenery and has a boys and girls hostel. Recently on 3rd October was our induction program for upcoming freshers like me. The very next day was a cultural event called E-Sangam for entertainment and celebration of Engineer's Day. It has several dance, singing, drama and anchoring performances. There were fireworks and light show at the end of the evening. During the Navratri period, the college celebrated it with two days of Garba event called RAAS 2k24 for 7th and 8th October. The campus provides the students with several sports and cultural opportunities. There are several clubs like Cultural, NSS, Music, Dance etc.
Admission
Besides the IITs and NITs in Madhya Pradesh, IET DAVV and SGSITS are the two most renowned government aided institutes. I had the option to choose between Mechanical of SGSITS and CSBS of IET-DAVV, but due to my childhood intrest in coding and computers I chose CSBS over mechanical engineering. The admission process in this specific branch was not through the MPDTE counselling, there was a seperate CSBS counselling provided for it.
Faculty
In our class of 73, the faculty finds it easy to control the class decorum and discipline but all the faculties are quite cool and open minded. Our Computer Engineering faculty, Dr. Pravin Karma, has a wide knowledge about hackathons, coding languages, tech startups and various other technical things. He has been coordinator and incharge of the hackathon teams of IET DAVV and is very motivating personality. Our business communication faculty(visiting), Dr. Punit Mishra is also quite knowledgeable individual and has provided us a diverse sense of business.
Other Applied Colleges
