Remarks

Positive: Well disciplined college, Experienced faculty, Great infrastructure, helping seniors, ragging free environment, good student teacher ratio. Negative: No fests for first year students, So many tests, Lots of study.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

They follow up a very well planned course structure. College timings would be from 9am to 5pm. There will be 2 UT, 2 Sessional Exam and 1 PUT before the final Semester examinations that means same cycle will be repeated twice every year. For weak students they also arrange extra classes regularly.

Placement Experience

4.5

Best placements are provided by this college, I think bestest in NCR region. More than 70+ companies visit every year which includes the most reputed ones also. Companies like HCL, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, SAMSUNG, GLOBAL INFOWAYS, LARSEN AND TURBO, SOPRA STERIA, GENPECT, ACCENTURE ,etc visit every year here.

College Events

3.5

Parikalp is the biggest event celebrated by the College. There are many events which are carried out in every 3-4 months in the College. Though no events and fests are there for first year students but there is an induction program for the first year students. Different departments organises there own fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

With hostel it is expensive but without hostel it is feasible. Among UPTU colleges in NCR region this college has little bit high fees. But they are providing facilities also to students like MacOS lab, CIM lab, Robotics Lab, etc which are hard to find in UPTU colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a UP state scholarship facility which is common to all students. The College itself also provides scholarship facility but on the basis of your semester examination result. There is no scholarship facility at the time of admission other than the UP State Scholarship policy.

Campus Life

4.5

Everything is well maintained in the campus. Each and every lab is provided for different departments. The labs are well managed and clean. The College is also NBA certified in stream ECE, EEE and IT. There are proper nets and ground for Futsal, basketball, cricket ,etc.

Alumni/Alumna

They have great alumni network working in top companies. The seniors are very helpful. The College provides you ragging free environment. The teachers also tell the names of famous alumni of college during the lectures.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is the biggest strength of this college. Each and every faculty is well mannered, knowledgeable and experienced. Students can ask doubts during the lecture or can go to faculty cabin. They help and support each and every student

Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
