Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am a student who is interested in accounting and banking and this course is a very big plus for me to step into the field and it helps me gain most of the knowledge needed for the fields we need to step into. The college trains us to go a step ahead and helps the students by making it easier for the students to learn about subject and make students intrested in going further with studies. The exams get easier by listening to the class where the half preperation is done it all depends on the students and the teacher who teaches and makes the subject interesting

Placement Experience

5

Students can enroll to placement at their final year 5th semester the notice will be sent to the students in the starting of the final year. Ey,ICICI Bank, Zomato,Egrms etc have visited the college almost 40 offers have been made The highest package was 24 lpa and the average is 4.5 lpa the package depends on the role the company offers Almost all the students enrolled to the placement get placed about 80% of applied students get placed My future plans are on getting a masters degree in finance

Fees and Financial Aid

Mount Carmel College with its fairly reasonable fee structure,is an attractive destination for quality education in Bangalore. The semester fee lies under 6000-75500 that is ,tution andmost academic expense, but not the supplimentry exam fee and placement charge. To ease the fee burden we have scholarships for Sc St students, mentor scholarships and scholarships based on your merit etc.

Admission

I have applied to tiw other colleges other than MCC First one is St.Joseph University and the second one is Baldwins Methodist College the reson to choose MCC over these college is because of the placements MCC offer they train you for the interviews and we get internships from college which is helpful for the students College offers us CEE courses which are easier to learn and develops our skill

Faculty

4

The college hires new faculty every year and each class gets 7 -8 teachers some subjects are thought by 2 teachers which is not very confusing for the students. Mrs.Candida the coordinator of the commerce department is not only good at teaching but is also very helpful to the students and helps them in their personal growth as well Mrs.Sruthi Shinde assistant professor one of the best professor's in the commerce department. She is very dedicated with her work and helps students no matter the time they take to learn We have 3 sets of exams 1.CIA-1 conducted for 30 marks and is easy listening to the lecture would helps students to pass 2. Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
