My 6 months in USTM as of now

The way they teach is fine only but the main problem is that they can't help much as some teachers are inexperienced though they're energetic but it's not helpful and we as students tend to accept that because we don't want them to feel bad. The sessionals are held every once a month so it's great helping us studying before the ends sessional. Attendance of 75 percent is a must to write the exams. The timing of sessional is 1 hours and end semester is 3 hours and extra time provided if required. The questions that usually comes in the exams are according to our syllabus and teachers classes so it's that difficult. Out of 10 the difficult level is 5/10

The stipend here is 8k as my senior had mentioned but can't know more. SunPharma and other companies came but I can't remember their names. Industries do come to offer students about their offers . The opportunity is quite different than my college

Placements here which I can remember very well is SunPharma. Alot of our seniors have got placement here but I can't remember the exact numbers. The numbers of companies which visited was about 7-11 if not mistaken. My plans after Bpharm is trying for drug inspector in my home district it I can and if not then working in an industry is better.

The fees here per semester is 80k with for a year it will be 160000. Hostel fees here is 40000 and per year is 80000 which I pay 7350 once a month. The admission fees here is 48000, while for the hostel admission fees is 15000 with hostel caution deposit is 10000 totalling up to 25000. Uniform is also required to be worn hence it was 4500 for me. Exam fees which had to be paid by the end semester is 4500. The fees increases annually as Said by our seniors where their fees was 75000 compared to 80000 of ours. I applied for NSP scholarship as I'm ST and will get it by next semester.

Till now I have had fun in USTM alot. Many festivals, celebration and programs are always held here. Getting 200 rank in NIRF, convocation, cultural programs, getting 150 seats of Mbbs, Kairos 2024, independence day and others National days and even visitation from Lou majaw and jubeen garde, and Isacc suborno. The books are well maintained as a reader i haven't much completed going around the library which is big. My classroom is a smart class with modern technology and access provided but we shifted to another room for other batch to adjust. Lots of clubs are here which I had joined personally is the cultural forum

I love in a two seater bed room so we have two bed, a fan, 3 switches, curtains,a two storey cupboard. As mentioned the hostel fees is 7350 per month and a year is 80000 while for hostel admission is 25000 total. The menu quality here out of 10 I'll give 4/10 as they don't deserve to get more and having to wait for a long line.

I firstly went to Assam Downtown University to apply and also to Assam Don Bosco University. USTM was my third option. ADTU accepted me while ADBU had and entrance exam which was very late. While for USTM i always done my interview with the Chancellor and entrance exam getting a merit list so seeing the price of fees i decided to go to USTM near my hometown easier for my parents to visits. ADBU gives discounts only to catholics hence I decided not to try for the entrance also.

Exams here in USTM is very different even from one department to another as we Bpharm students hav 3 sessionals that 30 marks each where best of 2 will be taken as IA. This is both for practical and theory. Then end semester is also there ie 75 marks. The faculties are fine and they're also tutor and tutee groups wise ie 10-14 students under one teacher. These tutors who are also our faculties usually are the incharge and take cares of us. Some faculties are nice and some are bad and I don't want mentioning them here but some teachers use Assamese alot which irritates me who don't understand at all though it is in my state of Meghalaya. Some faculties are helpful and I agree but some are that much.

Here in USTM after classes amenity is always opened for boys except for girls who have leave by 5 30pm. Gyms is open from 4 till 6 pm which is regular place visited by me. Hostel gates for boys is closed at 9 30pm except for other reasons. Library is close till 9pm and the famous to hang out is just outside the university gate where they hanged out alot
