Course Curriculum Overview

2

Curriculum is fine . Its not that effective we were the NEP batch and have only 2 majors, internship was provided by the college but we were told not to attend so we attended an internship outside the college. It does give a little knowledge about the outside world time to time.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible in the 6th sem only before that we are asked to fill google forms etc. Highest package was 16 lakhs in other dept. In science dept every less companies visit and the starting is 3.5 lakhs Lpa which i am happy about. We are forced to give our first month salary to an orphanage run by college which is a bit fishy . I'd like to do a job after degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee , tution fee is 65k, it includes term fee, library fee , magazine fee, lab fee , club and association fee, sports and game fee, Audio visual , identity card , maintenance fee, poor students fund ans miscellaneous fee , all these are mentioned in the fee receipt. We have separate exam fee which was 2k plus in the previous semester and was 3200rs for this sem because we have 4 lab practical. This is because I'm a SC student others payed 3,600rs. I applied for Ssp scholarship provided by the Karnataka govt but our college said they have a problem in approving it so didn't receive any.

Campus Life

3

Ethnic day and college day are 2 main events which happens once every year and one happens a semester respectively. The library is huge and accessible to many books ranging from science to law. Anyone can access these so its definitely a pro. Sports events happen once a year and I'm a sports representative this year. Teams are separated and compete against each other. Students (MSC ) have launched companies on their own they've become entrepreneurs.

Admission

I had applied to Krea University in Andhra but since it was a hostel college and was really expensive and i didn't receive any scholarship. I had to take this college because it is near my home , i had to save money on my bus or auto fare. So i just walk to college. And I Chose this course because I love botany and biology.

Faculty

2

Just like all colleges some faculty are good and friendly and some are not. In the Bsc Life sciences dept, most of the faculty are rude they don't really care about marks and shout at you , i was asked if i was a state board in a insulting way just because i asked for spelling of a word. Manikandan was the name of the sir who insulted me. Literature teachers bring up new activity which sometimes enhances the mood and makes stres free.

Night Life

3

As mentioned earlier the college is open till 7 in the evening and allows students to access the library. I don't have friends in college so I don't hang out a lot. But I've seen a lot of people hanging out nearby in cafeterias etc. which is vibrant. Theres a lot of diversity. Theres a lot of kissing and groping at night times.

Our curriculum includes syllabus in regard to that of National Education Policy scheme where in we have 2 core subjects. I chose biotechnology and genetics since it something I really look forward to pursue as my career in the field. We had one subject as open elective which enhanced our curriculum since we could choose from various course every semester. Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements right after completing their B.Math(Hons) degree, i.e after their 6th semester. Companies like Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn, Wipro, and other Multinational Companies visit and every student gets an offer from one company or the other. The package ranges from 10LPA to 25LPA. Those students who opt for placement after their B.Math(Hons) course is over, all get a placement offer while most of the students prefer to continue their Master's Degree. I too would like to complete my Master's Degree after my bachelor and think about further options thereafter.
