Remarks

The college management is very strict and care very much about the education of the students.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE and KEAM, Scored 225 for KEAM and got merit seat in the college. IIT JEE Score was 86. The college was one of the top self financing college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course, Mechanical engineering is more over a practical related course then a theory related one. It focuses on core practical things.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship offered for B-Tech students in the college. The companies which came for recruments are Infosys, TCS, UST Global, SFS, etc. They provide jobs in the software area and provide good package.

More than 50 percent of the students in the college are placed in companies like Infosys, TCS, UST Global, SFS, etc. They provide jobs in the software area and provide good package.

College Events

The college conducts several cultural and technical events in the college every year. The main cultural and technical event is Tejaswi. Many colleges from across the state participates in the events and huge prizes are provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed for any loan or scholarships. The college and the government provides scholarships as various schemes for students of different categories.

Campus Life

The campus life i neither too boring, nor too exciting. There are very few extra-curricular activities conducted by the college. The college has a sports day conducted every year. Some small events like Robo Feast are conducted by the college.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a strong alumni network in our college. The seniors with the help of professors, conduct an alumni meet every year and the new passed out batch joins the alumni every year.

Exam Structure

Every month, the college conducts internal exams for the students. There will be a lab exam (model) at the end of the semester.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
