Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always wanted to become a doctor.our curriculum is called rs-4 ... It's has a more hands on approach and emphasis on small group discussion are made making it better than rote learning Our curriculum includes morning posting on all department through which we experience real life case scenario of the diseases and conditions we learn or read

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship usually includes working in all departments of the hospital .it consists of a usual duties of a doctor like OPD duties, wards or OTs . It also includes treating patients , record kerpings and attending wards Internship other than at KIMS is also offered at Sahasra hospitals , Promed hospital.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 2020 batch is 141196+65000 as miscellaneous fees 141196= tuition fees 65000= miscellaneous fees which includes skill lab fees , teachers gratuity fund and travel and transportation fees... Private seat fees are usually 10 lakhs per annum And management seat fees are around 36 lakhs per annum

Campus Life

4

We have an annual fest in which various cultural programs take place. The name is decided by the organising batch . We also have an annual sports meet. The one plus point in our college is our vast library and study room. It has almost everything a medical student needs and seeks for including journals , research papers and standard books . Sports is usually around October and is held for 2 weeks .... And the annual fest is usually around the end of the academic year

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is spacious and usually 3 people reside in a room .... It has adequate lighting and ventilation . And a fan and cupboards. The meals in the hostel canteen are of good quality and healthy. Registration is during admission to the college itself the fees for hostel is 110000

Admission

I had applied for BMC, Bowring and ramaiah but I couldn't get into those colleges because it has a high cutoff rank , but I had gotten Gadag institute of medical sciences but I didn't go there as KIMS had a better patient load and better exposure being in a city

Faculty

4

It has a good faculty / student ratio ... The faculty are experienced and are student friendly. They are very co operative nd go out of their way to teach ... There are 3 internal exams in an academic year and a final university exam at the end of the academic year around the time of February nd March

Night Life

5

The favourite places among people are ... Lassi cafe ... We had a canteen but it's closed for now ... Some of the popular hangout places are first coffee and bda layout. There's a gym in the campus and hostels usually close around 10:30 considering the safety of the students. Its safe at night

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.
