Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum of IGNOU is top notch. As the books are written by scholars who are very brilliant and the books are in a very concise manner as they deal with all the relevant topics and in a structured manner One who is studying a particular topic will be able to understand the concept by themself as the language is very simple and understandable.

Internships Opportunities

3

IGNOU provides internships in various fiels for different courses students. There is Narayan Murthi internship program which is specially designed for IGNOU students. Axis bank, capgemini, magic pin are some of the companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for one year is 5000 and admission fees is 200 at the time of fresh admission. Yealry fees is 5000Rs. College also provides the aid of scholarship but during fresh admission only which results in the reduction of fees. Students can also get 15% more discount if they go for online study matrial instead of hard book.

Campus Life

3

College use to conduct seminars online which helps us to understand very aspects of society. It helps us in understanding the concepts which are going on. College also conduct meetings at the starting of the session which helps us to understand the whole procedure.

Admission

Actually I wanted to pursue B.Tech but I also wanted to do civil services so I dropped the idea of b.tech and take admission in IGNOU in BA(Hons)Sociology. I chose IGNOU because its studu material is very good and helpful for me.

Faculty

4

As it is distacne mode we don't meet the faculty on regular basis but still as far as we meet the faculty their coordinator they are very good and they motivates us to do well in the life. They resolve our issues, doubts as soon as possible for them. As I have a yealry method not semester. My course duration is 3 years and I have given my first year exams as well. Exam structure is easy to moderate but if you go through the books nicely you will be able to score very good marks. PYQs play a crucial role as they repeat many topics so solving pyqs will help in a long run. In first year there are 8subjects and the subjects are credit basis and in second year there are 10subjects.

Night Life

5

There is a very big garden type area around the college which is very good. It gives the sense of peace whenever me and my friends visit the college we used to stay there as it gives ud some sort of refreshment

Course Curriculum Overview:

The ba programe here is little different from other colleges accross the country. The curriculum is quite diversified. If you are intrested in arts , there is lot to learn. If one want to become writter or any thing related to literature , or want to become historian , geo-politics expert, etc. The course is quite good. The exams held every four and a half or five months and the difficulty level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like this course is about rights and authorities which is very important for everyone nowadays and specially when you are a girl so that nobody couldn't dominate you. We read about what were the past sceniors towards the lower castes or women which is also happens in most of the states and cities but this curriculum taught us whats the reality of the world and how to be independent and how to protest for our rights . Even we can more learn about this if the faculity organises those things via presentation or streamings with some videos so it will be more helpful in our exams too!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not updated . Teachers uses old method of teaching on pen and paper. Like in statistics now various tools are available in market and instead of making us learn those tools teachers are teaching the most basic things on pen and paper. But the course is very demanding nowadays.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.
