Course Curriculum Overview

4

The study of fish and ocean attracted me to this course. And it is really interesting to deal with fishes and aquarium management. We have a lot of practical sessions and internships which makes us prepared for the real world. We need more field visits . Exams comes in six months but the university kind of lags and sometimes congested schedule exhausts studends. Our course is such rare and interesting even had a foreign student.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many government agencies provide internship for aquaculture students. MPEDA , CMFRI these government institutes provide training sessions and internships for us. This helps us with our practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

3

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many seafood export companies conduct campus placements here. Offers vary from different companies. Almost all students prefer higher education because this is a wide range of course my plan after getting degree is to opt for higher education in this field.

Fees and Financial Aid

I only paid nearly 6000 during my admission procedures and there are no other fees Many central government and state government scholarships are available. We only have exam fees and small fees like that as it is an government providing course

Campus Life

4

We conduct a lot of events like association day, union day, college day, and many more events. Las year we conducted a current relevant workshop for portraying the importance of millets know as millet day. Our library consists of almost 40000 books alone and we have a digital library. We have a basketball court and a big ground for many sports . Our college leads in arts in many items. We have a lot of clubs like biodiversity club, women cell etc

Hostel Facilities

4

We have three people in our room . Three tables chairs shelfs and coats are the facilities available. Menu is nice . It gives a homely food vibe. Registration is through college office. It is comparatively affordable as only 18000 is needed for a year.

Admission

I applied to farooq college Kozhikode for psychology other than this as an secondary option. This college and course was my first priority as it was only provided here in Kerala. I didn't get any rejection as this was my primary choice. The admission is through allotment procedures. Any students who completed plus two biological science with minimum 60% can apply for this course. There are no entrance exams or such things for this course. My admission experience was smooth and easy due to friendly staffs

Faculty

5

We have a total of 37 students in our class and 7 faculties In our department. The faculties are very friendly and nice. Keshavan sir, Areej sir, and dhanya miss are my favourite faculties. They are so friendly and very considerate of everyone. We have semester based exam system. Curriculum is of moderate toughness and exams comes one after another which is kind of exhausting. The course curriculum is relevant

Night Life

2

Actually for hostellers like me we have to be in hostel before 5:30 . We have a nice and big canteen in our campus. Our college is near beach so ofcourse it's our major hangout place. Library has a nice ambience were we can hangout and have coffee not on the inside but it provides an area like that

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
