Remarks

Positive - Very good for someone who needs to score very good marks academically Negative - Not recommended for someone who need placements with very high salary packages . College provides good Placements but is not competitive with NITs or IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalamazoo Technical university KTU. Semester wise examination and internal examination twice in between each semester. First year is common for all branches while from second year it is branch specific. Since the university is all over Kerala, remember that one is competing with whole Kerala.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements were comparitively very less for us. Only some call centre jobs were provided to us. But now the situation have changed, almost all companies are coming. The management now gives this institute very importance and so various placements took place this year.

College Events

4.5

Ahalia provides a very wide range of cocurrical activities to its students. The technical fest itself is telecasted in Kairali TV ( Zaaga2k19). Anyone who is good in cultural gets a higher opportunity for performing that for someone from sports background. From this year Cricket and football leagues are also conducted in the campus for sports lovers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit expensive for normal management quota. But if you have good marks in higher secondary, Ahalia provided you very attractive scholarships which in turn is less than government college fee. In merit quota the fee is same as in other colleges Across the state .

Fees and Financial Aid

Ahalia scholarship is very good for meritorious students. Students are offered various fees such and 100% remission for students who score 90% + in higher secondary. The details of the scholarship are available in the college website. A Canara Bank function inside the campus and it's easy to get loan from any bank since the government gives it prior importance.

Campus Life

4.5

NSS activities are not very good in the college. Arts is given the utmost priority. Labs are highly appreciated and are very well furnished. I would reiterate that labs are same alll over the colleges in Kerala and no labs are of substandard, so don't give that much importance

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel infrastructure is very good. It is situated in about a very huge landmass which contains almost 5 colleges and 5 hospitals. Hostel fee is also affordable and the transportation in and out at early morning and night is difficult. In day time there are shuttle services running between the campus and town.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not so big, since the college have only three batches that have passed out from the institute. Recently an aluminium meeting was conducted and is officially formed. Senior students are very helpful since the network is small almost everyone knows everyone.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are good and all meet the requirements mentioned by UGC. Practical knowledge is very less for faculties. Faculties with industrial experience is very rare in this college. They are good in academics but not so good in industrial training which is required for the current scenario.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.
