Course Curriculum Overview

4

We have several technical societies which conduct multiple tech and no-tech events for the students and also provide students a good exposure of organising such events. you will see events every week. The department which i am in has a huge number of students and faculty which makes it very active around these events.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships starts from the end of the 6th semester and people have got very good opportunities so far. The college promotes Sart-ups and enthusiasm. The students get proper mentorship if needed and make some good projects.

Placement Experience

3

The college gives good placement opportunities to the students. companies like Infosys, Tech Mahidra, cipla and many more come here and gives excelent offers. The average package is around 5-6 lakhs and some of the students also get 30+. But in order to provide placements to maximum students , college also gives packages like 2-3 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for a semester is 1 lakh 20 thousand , and this is just the tuition fee and there are several expences like bus facility fee which costs 40000 for a year . this keeps on increaing every year. You also need to pay for dress here. The fee is same for all the categories as it is a private university and no scholorships are provided as of now. The college has a strict fine system.

Campus Life

3

Talking about the overall experinece , one may find it difficult to survive here because everyone here is eagerly looking to date. You will be in constant peer pressure. The people here are not so friendly and also a bit selfish. I am not taking my frustrations out but that is true. The societies are good to explore good people and make meaningfull friendships.

Admission

The admissions are very easy and online , you need to apply for the admission over the website then you'll be asked to come and pay the fees for a day which is conducted very nicely. The early registration costs 1100/- and it is not refundable.

Faculty

3

although the faculty here is well qualified however they are not up to the mark when it comes to teaching, the major reason of this could be because they come from a research background and find it difficult when it comes to teaching. I am not saying the the whole staff is like that only , several teachers are there who are very good in their respective fields. The Courses are nice and exams are on time. The exams are taken every month and the level is above average.

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
