Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum of the course can be divided into three parts as this is a 3-year course. Every year has 2 semesters and the course in total has 6. The first semester is usually spent on subjects like understanding psychology and other non related subjects like AI. The first-year curriculum could have been put to better use instead of teaching us nonrelated subjects as that cut off the rhythm that could have been building and when we came to 2nd year the first year looked like a complete waste. The 2nd year comparatively was better and more productive the curriculum rhythm was better and as we slid into 3rd year the curriculum became more productive and helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for psychology is 60,000 in Galgotias. I am a third year year student. You have to pay the fees prior to the year you are going in. If you opt for hostel then you have to pay 1.5 lakh extra as you pay for it annually at once.

Campus Life

4

If we talk about the social life at the university then I believe is something you build yourself depending on the crowd you mingle with. But overall the social life here is very fun as all around the year events keep happening. The student council body is very involved with the management that allows them to use the premises foe a lot of things like unifest, literatureevents etc. the student body consists of atleast of 300 different clubs.

Admission

I applied to Amity University. As compared to Galgotias I thought the curriculum there was more complicated and co-scholastic activities and the course validity attarcted me more towards galgotias as copared to amity.

Faculty

3

The faculty of this university is honestly very diverse in terms of knowledge and work ethic. Some tend to get done with the course, while others are more go in the depth type professors. Speaking of my course, in a few subjects more involvement from the professors could have been used especially in subjects like statistics but overall if we talk the professors are very forthcoming and helpful they will make extra time for the students if the students make the initiative. They are especially very understanding in aspects like research which is a massive part of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Event management seemed interesting but it's more work and less pay on every post The college did not provide any intenships or work so we had to do it on our own The college claims to give more practical learning and that's a lie they do not care about practical they just care about passing in the exams and attendance
