I'm in foundation year right now and they teach us literally everything from crocheting to Photoshop. The amount of hecticness and assignments prepares you for the challenges faced in industries. You get handy with so much work and learn time management. We don't have written exams but we have jury every sem where our work is judged by jury members

The annual fees for B.des is 3lakh per annum including the library fees, exam fees, medical fees and registration fees. Noft offers Sarthak scholarship for students who are not able to pay the high fees structure of Nift but it is difficult to get sarthak scholarship and it requires so many documents.

The session for foundation year starts in august which is filled with festivals. Once you enter the college you have so many festivals and events all around the year. Especially in august, sep, oct. Life seems so much of a karan johar's movie. But then nov-dec the most difficult or I would say hectic time because jury hits. We have a very big RC (resource centre) which is our library. And all sort of books and magazines are found there. The classrooms have ACs and projector. Well lit a d maintained. We have clubs here but not much involvement.

The infrastructure of hostel is good, the rooms are well ventilated and cleaners comes daily to the room to clean it. The mess food is okaish... I mean it's just edible and not that good to satisfy your taste buds. To apply for hostel you have to pay a certain amount which is there on the pdf shared during admission process.

It is controlled by ministry of textiles India and is the best choice to get into if you want to pursue fashion designing. The admission process is simple. You have to crack their entrance exam which is called NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM and once results are out you have to sit for counselling. This year 2024 there were 4 counselling rounds and one spot round. Once you get your desired campus and course you physically visit the campus and get your documents verified and that's it you're a NIFTIAN.
