Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum was overall maintained and was mix of practical and theoretical aspects. Our college was more on theoretical learning and practical experience like industrial visits used to take place one a year only.

Internships Opportunities

3

Intership opportunities were moderate in the college in every domain rather it be marketing, sales ,law , engineering, teaching etc. This is said by me because almost every student found a proper internship through his/her own network and even faculty didn't give necessary attention to getting students helped in internships

Placement Experience

3

Placements of the college was started in 5th Semester and continued till end of the 6th Semester. Companies like Decathlon, HIVE and other Sales and Marketing companies reached and offered an average salary of ?250,000 P.A as a fresher and the highest was ?600,000 P.A. Very few students were placed through college placements and more numbers of students got placed through their own personal networking.

Fees and Financial Aid

On the fees structure I would like to say that the fees was ?80,000 for the 1st Year which included ?5,000 as a security fees and rest was Tution fees and Exam fees. From the 2nd Year we paid ?75000 per year i.e 2nd and 3rd Year. There was a scholorship program for EWS students which we were told about but no one in the class qualified neither opted for the programme.

Campus Life

3

The overall experience of the college was more or less good. The regular cultural programs and other festival melas were organised to engage students with social-cultural activities which was appreciable. Diwali Mela during Diwali, Winter Carnival during Christmas and New Year Eve, Freshers Party, Other Social Programmes were orgainsed. Library had a vast collection of books , artciles and journals one can take its ample time to find the right pick of books for his/her academic training. Classes were advanced by installing smartboards which helped in learning through Presentations and Slides. There were only marketing club and law club of the students which were running in the college as of my knowledge

Admission

On this topic I would like to say that I applied only in 3 colleges which were 1) Sharda University 2) JIMS Greater Noida 3) KCC Greater Noida Got approved in all the 3 colleges but dropped SHARDA UNIVERSITY due to affordability because the fees for course was higher for me.The college was great and the infrastructure development all things were far better than any college. KCC was my last option so I choosed JIMS because this college had better opportunities compared to KCC as I thought. Later realized all the things were same in KCC and JIMS.

Faculty

3

On the exams system I would like to say the exams were well structured and used to take place 2 times per semester i.e 1 Internal Exam in the college and 1 External Exams in other colleges as elected by the GGSIPU University. Students with low attendence were not allowed to give Internal Exams. Special Mid term used to take place for students who had low attendance before and 70% Attendance was mandatory in any scenario.

Other Applied Colleges

Sharda University, School of Business Studies - [SBS] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Was much more affordable for me

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific aspects of curriculum that influence my decision to choose this course is that it is very good and personally I think it is scoring. The curriculum is very well as it prepares me for real world applications for the academic pursuits. There is no areas for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods as they are best. The frequency in timing of exams along with my perspective on their difficult level is moderate moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good but only theoretical, it does not prepare you for real world challenges, since bcom is a general course but still acts as foundation of every Commerce students career ladder, the decision for opting it is correct. The frequency of exams are less and their moderate difficult but not very hard .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.
