The truth about SKIT college

the curriculum of the course is designed as any basic course for btech the course is structed by RTU rajasthan technical university situated in kota and the same provides the degree for the course after completion. SKIT is affiliated under RTU university, the curriculum for any btech degree in india except the ones offered by the government affiliated colleges such as IIT's and IIIT's you have to put effotrts of on your own to stand somewhere the college does not prepare you for the real world it just gives you an experience to get started somewhere and plays the role of a mentor to help you at every point what my suggestion is to always stay active in the community of the sector you are trying to land a job and talk to people who have already achieved it be it form your college or somebody you may know, the frequency of exams in skit is every 1.5 months their is an internal midterm of 30 marks and every 4-6 months the end terms are held as the ending of the following semester and the difficulty of the every exam is set taking every student in mind and generaly kept between easy and medium so each student is provided an opportunity to pass the following exam

From the 6 semester onwards the student becomes elidgible in the college to appear in any placements and same goes for companies such as wipro infosys amazon google byjus visit the college campus for placements and varrying offers are made to the students every year going from 3lpa to 50lpa around 15-20% students take placements from the college which are on campus and rest go for off-campus placements

the yearly fees of my college is around 1,00,000 which is to be paid in two semesters with 2200 examination fees for each semester paid in first month of the sem start year 2024 and forward the college has been transformed to autonomous and thus the fees has been raised to aroun 1,80,000. Their is no extra development lab or compulsory fees except the itr industrial training fees to be paid in 5 and 6 sem for the training for placements for which experts are called form the industry the fees is similar for most of the courses in engineering atmost varrying by 5000-10000 yes skit does provide scholarships which are provided on performance basis for amount 10000-25000

the only fest held in skit is its pravah held everyyear around the month of march the college else is not that good the campus is poorly built and lacks basic facilities for its students their are varies sports activites held on campus but again is poorly managed by the college and same applies for the the social clubs

the hostel facilities the the quality of the meals provided by the college are realy really bad to the point where students have protested several times against the hostel management and still no actions have been takes i am staying in a rented apartment currently becaue of the lack of facilities provided in hostel i fell sick several times before shiting out to a point where i had to be admited in to a hospital

i was no the one to choose this college in the first hand i was forced to get in and i applied into several colleges and universities i got my addmission in btech computer science with specialization in data science i applied in jecrc, manipal,VIt etc colleges after completing my 12th grade i did get rejected by vit and got into manipal but skit was closer to my home town and was very affordable so i chose skit in the end the addmission process of skit is through different mediums such as REAP counsling jee and 12 boards for each you require atleast 75% marks or you can opt for a donation seat which costs anywhere from 1.5l to 5l depending on course and availability

the faculty to students ratio at skit is really good making it a teacher to every 4-10 students and the teachers are very helping and supportive, specially the batch counselors assigned help with the day to day problems faced. If you approach every faculty with respect and calmness they will surely help you, the exam system is held in form of 3 examinations with two internal with 20 marks of a written exam and 10 marks of assignments and one main exam with 70 marks. for the practicals same pattern is followed with two internal and one main exam and for the main practical exam an external teacher is called upon for the viva of the lab practical. the course structre is divided as every btech into 8 sems with 5-7 thory and 3-5 lab subjects in every semester which are necessary to pass in

no their is no such admission process for this college the straight forward approcach to the addmision in the college is through reap counseling or jee\12 boards marks which you can visit the college during admission period and talk to any mentor available ofcourse they are gonna lie alot about the college and its achievements but if you do not have any option overall skit isnt that bad i have heard worse experiences when it comes to colleges and universities
