Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is pretty much relevant and comphrehensive. They cove most of the areas but some topics do feel a little outdated. The industry level training in SKIT really attracted me and it prepares us really well for the real world applications but organising many different activites and organing talks. I would suggest to keep the curriculum updated to the emerging technology. The examinations are carried out 3 times in a semester, midterm1, midterm2 and end sem practical and the exmas are not that hard. The important parts are asked, so they become a little easy

Internships Opportunities

3

There are many internship opportunities in SKIT, I have done a 15 days internship at training center in electronis branch and i got to leran so much more. Companies like TCS and vipro and many different startuos offered studentes with paid internships. I worked on a project to creat a drone which would fly to a high altitude and had a really good range,

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible after 4th semester for placements. There are many companies that have visited like Vipro, IBM, TCS and many more among the 150 companies that visit the campus. THe highest offer made was to a senio of mine of about 43 lpa and the average package is of about 5-6 LPA. The lowest package offered was of about 3 LPA. About 90 percent of students get placements and if for any reason i do not get placed, I would try for CDS that is the armed forces of India

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Tution fees 50939 2. development fees- 6113 3. Caution money- 7500 4. registration fees- 1000 5, convenyance fees- 37000 These are the course fees per semester I am from general branch so i have pay all these in full but my batchmates who are from sc st category, they avail scholarships like pragati etc.

Campus Life

2

The campus life in SKIT Jaipur is not much good as there are events happening but rarely and also the size of the campus is small. Annual event named Pravah is held in january or february of every year in which many teams from different activites take mart in many competitions. The library is really big and it contains many amny books and journals. There are projector in every class room and the washrooms remail dirty most of the time. The sports is really good in SKIT as the facilities are good and even coaches are appointed which enables our team to win in various tournaments. There is a club for pravah whose insta handle is @skitpravah.

Hostel Facilities

4

the hostel facilities are pretty good as in the room there is a duct for summers and every person has their private room. The washrooms are clean and tidy. The mess food is like every other mess food, it is just eatable. Also the hostel price is 40000 for one year and it can easily be booked at the admission cell. The locality is really good as it is filled with students and old people who are running these busineeses.

Admission

I only applied for this college as I researched well and SKIT was really good for me as it excels both in studies and sports and thats what I wanted too. The admission in SKIT is done through REAP process which checks the board percentage which should be above 45 percent and JEE MAINS. Admission process is really smooth as everything is taken online

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is alright, most of the faluties are supportive and they help and some are really good in explaining concepts like Pramod sir, they make classes interesting and easy to understand. Another teacher is Deepika mam who is soo strict. Exams are throughout the semester, there are total of 3 examinfations, 2 midterms and 1 final end sem exam. The mid terms are pretty easy but the end sem is really difficult.Abhout 5 percent students fail these exams, and the curriculum is mostly relevant and the syllabus is up to date.

Night Life

4

After my classes i generally go to the canteen, where the samosa is really good. There are many cafe outside the campus and even a gaming zone where i generally hangout with my friends. There are 2 gyms in our college, one is in the boys hostel and another is in the gymnasium. Hostel and gate timings are till 9 30 pm after which no one is allowed in the campus and if someone doesn;t reach the hostel at time, The warden calls his parent.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for summer internship (after 3rd year) from start of 3rd year (5th sem) and for the placements, companies come to the college from 7th semester onwards. Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . I am currently looking forward to work in a company and get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
