Likes
- Skit's Library is really impressive and big. Also it has many books and computers available to work for all.
- The faculties are supportive and understanding.
- There is availability of canteen and cafe/stall for food and beverages in campus itself.
Dislikes
- Poor Computer labs. They are using turbo C to teach language.
- Poor infrastructure of classrooms from inside.
Course Curriculum Overview
According to me the curriculum of the course is accurate and effective, but it has less number of classes for our main subject that is computer. Maybe it's because of 1st yaer and might be more frequent from second year onwards.
Internships Opportunities
There is a training period after 2nd sem and internship period after each year. Even it is compulsory to do an internship either from college or outside the college. There are faculties that will help and guide you get one.
Placement Experience
There are many companies visiting and students become eligible for placements from 6th sem onwards and a number of students get placed with an avg package of 4-5lpa. My plan after this degree is getting a good placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearwise fees for btech program in skit is about 1.2lpa which includes 50k tution fees per sem and rest other fees. They have scholarships for girl candidates and also tution fee off for those in tfws. There are scolarships like deutsche, pragati, merit based, etc.
Campus Life
During oct nov Blood donation camp is held then a 3-4 day ICI event which has lot of fun activities and then there is a big event PRAVAH which goes for like a week from morning to night and has a lot of fun, dj night, shows and all. There are a lot of clubs and each one has amazing events every wednesday. The Infrastructure of the library is amazing.
Admission
I choosed this college because I wanted to be in my hometown, i.e. Jaipur, and as compared to other colleges, this college is far better in terms of study and job opportunity but if you are someone hoping for a perfect college life it might disappoint you a little but it has 2 major events ICI and Pravah which are quite impressive and fun.
Faculty
My batch faculty members are all nice and suppotive. You can go and discuss any issues frankly, they'll help you out. we have different faculty for each subject and even labs. Altho I like all my faculty members but our Batch counsellor,Physics faculty, Pawan Kumar Jain and CTP faculty Rajesh sir are the best one so far, they'll help you out if you face any issue and are really very supportive. We have 2 mid terms ,both theory and practical each along with 2 online unit test and an end term examination including theory and practicals.
Night Life
I'm a day scholar but as far as i know from my hostel friends, the college gym, cafe, library are quite good. There is time boundation for both boys and girls for their safety purpose. Even the campus and the college area is safe to walk around.
