Overall the college campus is always in conflict among sfi and ksu followers and classes are suspended due to strikes

Course Curriculum Overview

The sport aspects of this college very pity as there any facities for athlectics or any sports related. Thers ia ground atleast but small. They only support people who are already good enough but not improving those who are backward in sports. They even show remorse for taking us to to sports otside of our college and this can be seen in results alsoo

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 7500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year we paid fee of total 7800 as for exam registration a total of 1200 as 200 for each subjects. For OEC SC and SC students they dont need to pay any fee for course or exam or for hostel. Overall the college is cheap and affordable .

Campus Life

The tech fest held here were 0 to none during my years of studies but two three tech fest was held in the colleges by the respective departments. The collage have a large library with many referal books and computer services for digital books and a large reading room where we can read and study peacefully.

Admission

I got admission in several engineering colleges during allptment but these colleges were government aided so we have to pay a fee of nearly 50k per year as college fee . Since this is an government college the fee is very low so i joined this college

Faculty

The student to faculty ratio is approx 50 to 1. Most of the teachers were aproachable are really helpfull but some faculties are pride full and think little of the students and mocks we are not good enough.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
