Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always like science field and the practicals included were really interesting . I wanted to be in science field because of practicals and many things can be applied in our daily life Curriculum really prepare us for real world applications and also for higher studies. Some teachers are not much active and the didn't complete syllabus in the right time. I think they should set a timetable and cover syllabus before exam . Exams are conducted for 3 hours and that's enough to finish it. The exams are not much difficult and questions are direct .

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission in community quota. I was supposed to pay 1250 something rupees in each semester and small amount before exam. During admission time about 5000 something rupees were spent. For students belonging to OBC and SC)ST a scholarship was available .Even if I am belonging to OBC category I didn't get scholarship..

Campus Life

5

I really had a very good campus life with good teachers friends and atmosphere. There were onam Christmas and Holi celebrations. Almost all types of books were available in our library. There was a wide collection of books. There were fans lights and smart classroom. There were no much sport facilities for MSC students. There were student run fm radio and that was really interesting and also political groups

Admission

When I decided to Apply for masters I had applied in 3 Colleges- Sree Narayana College kollam, Fatima Mata National College and BJM Chavara. And I found out that best campus best facilities and good teachers are there in SBC kollam. So that I prefer SNC kollam. I got admission in BJM but I didn't like the rules and campus but I didnt get admission in Fatima Mata National College. I got admission in community quota and we just went through some verification process of our documents . There was no cutoff marks for admission.

Faculty

4

Faculties are supportive and they provide best work and cooperative with us. I like office room members and treasury members and they are the best I don't like lab helpers because some of them are lazy . There were 18 written exams ,5 lab exams and 1 project (including viva and presentation) They were direct questions. Those who have prepared well could easily pass with flying colours. About 5-6 students fail to clear the exams in different semesters. Course curriculum was interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
