The Most Decent College in my Region, My College

I chose this college because of my rank. This college was in second place in my list because of which I joined this college.i have applied to Nitte engineering college but due to the rank cutoff i didn't get a free seat so rejected that and due to my high KCET rank i couldn't go to sahayadri or St. Joseph mangalore which is kind of false since if I had waited for 2nd or 3rd round counselling I could have gotten it but I didn't knew it. I didn't make it to Sahyadri and all due to rank limitations but with Nitte I didn't go because I had what 850 rank in their specific exam but still I didn't get a free seat even though my rank was under 1000 and the office people of Nitte said that the cutoff the year at which I applied is 600 not 1000. I was pissed and tried to negotiate but it didn't work. Nitte's fees is outrageous for CSE so I had to go through CET to get an affordable seat in a college Admission process was simple due to the merit seat. Eligibility is simple...have to write KCET and have to pass 12th... that's it i feel. Exams accepted and most preferred by students is KCET. Cutoff of KCET is from 30,000-90,000 for IT and EC courses and the cutoff is even higher for mechanical, mechatronics etc going above 1,00,000...Read More

So i have applied for many colleges like mit manipal , nitte, And i have written cet exam. I chose this clg because at first it looked nice and all they had a banner saying tge highest package was 50LPA so i though the placement was nice. Yea i had around 29k rank in mit examination and would have gotten a seat but it was expensive , then in nitte i got the rank 912 but the system has shown me the wrong rank at first so i didnt go to the seat allotment day The admission can be done through cet comedk and management If waited till 3rd round people with 2lakh rank in cet can also get seat in courses like aiml and all...Read More

THE OTHER COLLEGE I CHOOSE WAS NITTE ENGINEERING COLLEGE I COULDNT JOIN THERE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SEAT AVAILABLE FOR CD BRANCH AND EC FEES WAS HIGH. I JOINED MITE BCOS OF THE GOOD REVIEWS AND PLACEMENT AND FEE WAS RESONABLE COMPARED TO NITTE .THE ADMISSION PROCESS WAS DONE BY VISITING THE COLLEGE AND DIRECT CONVERSATION.TH ELIGIBILITY WAS I SHOULD HAVE DONE BY PUC IN SCIENCE AND I SHOULD HAVE ATTEND CET EXAM .THE OTHER COLLEGE FOR EXAMPLE NITTE WAS BETTER BCOS THEY WERE AUTONOMOUS AND HAD GOOD PLACEMENTS WHILE MITE WAS NOT AUTONOMOUS WHILE I JOINED. THE OTHER COLLEGES HAD GOOD PLACEMENTS WHILE I WAS PASSED AT 2024 THE PLACEMENTS WERE NOT GOOD AT MY COLLEGE DUE TO RECESSION. THE OTHER THINGS ABOUT OTHER COLLEGE IS THEY ALLOWED STUDENTS TO EXPLORE IN TERMS OF INTERNSHIP AND ALL WERE AS WE HAD LIMITED OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE .THE METHOD OF TEACHING AND EVALUATION OF THE STUDENTS SKILLS AND CORRECTING THEM AT THE EARLY STAGES NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED IN MY COLLEGE RATHER THAN FOCUSING AT THE END. THE OTHER COLLEGE I APPLIED WAS BMS BANGALORE I COULDNT GET THERE BCOS OF MY CET RANK AND THE MANAGEMENT COST WAS VERY HIGH .OVERALL MY COLLEGE IS AUTONOMOUS NOW AND THEY ARE ENCOURAGING STUDENTS TO EXPLORE NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND ALLOWING FOR VARIOUS INTERNSHIPS THE CURRICULUM IS ALSTO CHANGED AND THERE IS NEW APPROACH FOR PREPARING THE STUDENTS FOR PLACEMENTS THE COLLEGE IS NOW FOCUSING ON WHOLISTIC DEVELOPEMENT AND ALSO EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES..I ALSO APPLIED TO THE COLLEGE NAMED MADVA WHICH IS IN UDUPI AND CANARA COLLEGE I HAVE GOT THE CONFIRMATION FOR ADMISSION WHILE I COMPARED ALL WITH MITE I FOUND MITE AS THE BETTER OPTION SO I WENT AHEAD WITH MITE.THE APPLICATION FOR THE COLLEGES CAN BE SUBMITTED EITHER BY DIRECTLY VISING THE COLLEGE RECEPTION AND ENQUIRING ABOUT IT OR CONTACTING THE NUMBER WHICH IS PRESENT IN THE COLLEGE WEBSITE.
