Internships Opportunities

4

Microsoft offered sde1 role. They will first take analytical skills test which comprises of verbal and non verbal reasoning English passage reading, synonyms and antonyms. After clearing that you have to give their coding test which comprises of 2 coding questions And after clearing that interview is scheduled After clearing interview you are all set.

Placement Experience

4

From 6th sem students start to sit for placements Highest package is of 2 cr which is reflected on their website and avg package is of around 5 lpa Placement percentage is around 90 I am thinking of taking placement in the campus itself

Fees and Financial Aid

At my time of admission the sem fees was 120000 all included but I got 12% scholarship and it becomes 108000 so in a year I have to pay 216000. And about scholarship there is a exam and based upon your performance you will get 12 or 24 or 36% or even if you take admission earlier you can also get extra scholarship because some of my friends even get 44% scholarship And if you opt for placements you have to pay 16000 extra.

Campus Life

5

I am an introvert person so I haven't join any clubs I only remain seated in my hostel my room doing my study and watching movies. The library is open from 8 am in the morning till 12 midnight all days . It is asia's biggest library from this you can imagine the range and accessibility of the books and journals Each room has a projector, well cushioned seats and well ventilated room. Lpu is well known for its sports facility . Neeraj chopra and vinesh phogat are some well known alumni of lpu.

Hostel Facilities

4

Each room has separate washroom and bathroom each separated , almirah for each student, there is a balcony also , study table, chairs and well lit room. Meal for me it's average. Hostel is very costlier here I have opted for 4 seater non AC room and it costs me 80000 and they give you fixed unit of electricity units per month if you exced that you have to pay extra electricity bill apart from 8000. Each year hostel fees keep increasing it is not fixed

Admission

No I took admission in the month of October at this time no one is taking admission so lpu is my only option to go for To get admmi6in lpu you have to give an exam of lpunest. This exam is only for formality any one can take admission in lpu and tere is no cutoff Cutoff is only for scholarship

Faculty

5

In this University there are almost above 3000 faculties which is even more than the students of some universities. Faculties are good teaching wise with few teachers as exception you know . You can ask personal problems or academic problems also ,they are very lineant and always ready to help. Some of my favourite faculties are rupali and Richa ma'am and akash pundir sir they are very friendly and helpful by nature There are 3 or 4 exams per subject apart from mid term and end term.mid term is complete mcqs and all other exams are mix of mcqs and theory sometimes it can only be mcqs or theory also completely Course curriculum is very relevant they modify the course every year according to industry standards.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
