Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is very vast and has a lot to study. During exams time it's very stressful. Even then I chose those course because I love learning about the human body. The curriculum of MBBS is prepared by the NMC. NMC should take care that the curriculum of MBBS is not changed frequently. Depending upon the length of the academic year in the academic calender released by NMC exams are held by the university.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 14000 and hostel fee is 7200 but in first year we would be paying library fee academic etc and the college fee becomes 29000. And the hostel fee including the refundable and non refundable deposit becomes 18200. It is only for the first year. We would be getting 10000 epass scholarship for tuition fee and 15000 as mess fee for those who are economically backward and of bc,sc and st castes

Campus Life

2

Till now two fests were held in our college in two years. The name of the fest is Adviteey. It is mostly held in the month of october. A wide range of books are available in the library but the library is not open for 24 hours. It's been 5 years yet the permanent college building is still under construction which is a big red mark in the college infrastructure

Hostel Facilities

3

There is hostel facility in our college but the permanent hostel building is not yet completed and is still under construction. The rooms are not good and no study table or chair is provided. Toilets are with broken taps. When complained about it we get a response "Wait for the new college campus in which everything will be provided ". Mess is not provided by the college management. We students have to give a contract to someone and eat in the mess by paying a monthly fee. But the value we get is very good for the price we pay which is only ?600 per month.

Admission

I applied for all the government colleges in my state during the counselling. But the marks I got during the NEET exam fetched this college for me. To get into our college the eligibility is NEET exam which is all india wide medical entrance exam. Based on the marks obtained counselling is held for both state quota and All India Quota(15% only) and the seats are allotted

Faculty

3

Our college being a government college. The faculty gets transferred every now and then. It's a bit disheartening that the government transfers the faculty even in the middle of the year. The faculty student ratio is very good. They solve all our doubts. I liked Dr. Krishnamurthy Sir and Dr. Sumitra ma'am because their explanation is very easy to understand. There are two internal exams and one prefinal exam before the university final exam which is held at the end of the academic year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is PRETTY big. Its really big, actually. Sometimes its hard to handle, because of its bulk, some of it is relevant some of it is not, in the clinical applications but you have to study that to jncrease your knowledge, while the exams are focused on a few important topics out of the curriculum, thoee topics are meant to be focused on, more as they carry more clinical importance than the others.
