Course Curriculum Overview
Actually I am a Computer student so the basic things I like about this course is Technology and also the package(heard from others). The main things in this syllabus of four years is DSA and Advanced DSA and later DBMS, etc main topics which are essential for placements. I would suggest to improve the teaching techniques for programming subjects like give more time in timetable for thet subjects like PSP-1 and 2 and time for their practical labs. Also include the more practical part in teaching techniques. Difficulty level of exams is low for first 3 exams above mentioned and maybe more for ENDSEM exam.
Internships Opportunities
Various big companies also provides the internship opportunities and also provides the stipend: *Wirerr softlabs->15k>2 months *Net Access Internet India Pvt. Ltd.->5k->4 months *Glossy Enterprises->3k->3 months There are various companies which provides stipend and limited time internship:Internshala, ISRO, PurpleBoat, Delmon Solutions, Vishwaguru Infotech Pvt. Ltd, etc.. Also there are companies which only provides internship and certificates: Techonsy Pvt Ltd, Scalefull Technologies LLP, NoQ’s Digital, Amuwa Corporation, etc. Most of the companies will provide stipend and certificates which will boost the resume of student for their placement purpose.
Placement Experience
In AISSMS IOIT most students prefer to do internships from the starting of 3rd year and from 3rd year also students are eligible for campus placements. Most of the companies visited are: Accenture, Oracle, TCS, CISCO, Infosys, Datametica Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Hexaware Technologies limited, DIAMANTI SOFTWARE, Honeywell, etc... Highest package is nearly 14-15 LPA and is offered by Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, etc. big companies. Above than 80% students was placed with average package. Basically my plans are like to take a placement in this big tech giants like Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, TCS, etc.. with minimum package of 10 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a Computer Engineering student I have taken the admission on the basis of my marks of MHTCET which are 97.27 percentile in 2nd round in category of TFWS(Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) hence my fees are low which are---> First year fees: Development Fee: Rs. 13,696 University Fee: Rs. 1,000 Caution Money Deposit: Rs. 1,000 Eligibility Fee: Rs. 650 Admission Form Fee: Rs. 500 Amartya Shikshan Insurance Scheme: Rs. 701 Total Fees Paid: Rs. 17,547 Exam fees taken before ENDSEM: Rs. 5000 CCRP fees: Rs. 1500 Second year fees: DEVELOPMENT FEE: Rs. 14022.00 UNIVERSITY FEE: Rs. 1000.00 ADMISSION FORM FEE: Rs. 200.00 EXAMINATION FEES: Rs. 5000.00 Fees increase due to change in Fees of academic Year 2023-24: Rs. 326.00 Total Fees Paid: Rs. 20548.00 CCRP fees: Rs. 1500 In 3rd and 4th year I think the fee structure is similar and the difference may vary on year nearly 20000. Also the fees like uniform(only provides Cloth) which is nearly Rs. 900(only in first year) Also you need to take membership of department like: for first year DESSA(for all): Rs. 200-300. For later according to your branch for second year CESS(for me Computer Engineering): Rs. 150 If you got backlogs then for each subject you need to pay Rs. 140(per subject) Scholarships: EWS: half of fees of general category nearly Rs. 65000 SC/ST: nearly Rs. 5000 You can also take the advantage of other scholarships like Punjabrao Deshmukh (for hostel), also there is a scholarship for students who got more than 80% in 12th which nearly Rs. 50000(if your payable is less then nearly about payable fees). About management: Fees are newly about Rs. 400000
Campus Life
In AISSMS IOIT, there is an annual event which is Alacrity which is held in January month. This is a multi-day event that includes a wide range of technical, cultural, and sports competitions. It's a platform for students to showcase their talents, network with peers, and learn from industry experts. Technical festivals are also held by the departmental clubs which includes coding, designing, etc. competitions. Technical events are mainly held in August or September month. There are also other events which are gaming(esport(BGMI, VALORANT, FF, etc.), cultural(dancing, acting). Colleges has a library in which capacity is nearly 140+ students. Everyone will get a ID card after which students can enter the library. Library has variety of books which are technical, self improvement, or CAD like designing, etc. books. Various outdoor and indoor sports has been held at this college which includes Volleyball, Football, Kabbadi, Cricket, Chess, Carrom, etc. A class can use unofficial group for the discussion of teaching materials, exams, any type of help.
Admission
I applied to several other colleges like RIT Islampur, PICT Pune, PCCOE. I received confirmed admissions from RIT Islampur(round 1) and AISSMS IOIT(round 2). I chose AISSMS IOIT because of its strong focus on practical learning, experienced faculty, and good placement record. Additionally, the college's vibrant campus life and opportunities for extracurricular activities appealed to me. Admission process: Basically you need to get the qualifying marks according to your cast in MHTCET or JEE MAINS. Then there will be 3 rounds of CAP in which your marks and cutoff of particular college will decide that are you eligible for that college or not only if in your college list which you will upload before that rounds contains the required colleges. Then later after confirming the college on the website of MHTCET you have to go to college for the next process of admission according to your college that you just confirmed. For AISSMS IOIT you need to pay your First year fees on their official website which requires some credentials which are need to be set in the college. So you must go to college to confirm your admission and pay all the fees. Basically cutoff for both exams MHTCET and JEE MAINS for Computer Engineering is nearly 95 percentile which is upto 30-40% marks of MHTCET and may vary upon you category like SC, ST, OBC, SBC, TFWS, etc. Most preferred exam is always MHTCET for AISSMS IOIT, cause JEE student prefer for bigger colleges like POCT, PCCOE, COEP, etc. Admission process is not that complicated cause of faculties and Shipahis will guide you and will push you through the admission process.
Faculty
There are lots of faculty members which are included for teaching and mentorship. The faculty-to-student ratio maybe around 20-25. Faculty members are well approachable. Like they can provide extra class if few students didn't understand the concepts of teaching. Students can build strong relations with teachers like teachers can also provide separate mentorship for the student. For FIRST YEAR I like the teacher of subject PSP-1 and PSP-2(C and Python programming) who are Mr. P. B. Wakhare. They teach us very well about C and python. Also teacher of subject Mathematics-1 and Mathematics-2 who are Mrs. Supriya Raskar. Also the teacher of subjects Chemistry and Electrical have very well knowledge about subjects. The only teacher I don't like teaches the Electronics who have not that experience of teaching and technique. For SECOND YEAR I like all the faculties except COOS maybe that subject feels boring for theoretical but good faculty for practical. Specially I like the faculty of OOPs and Discrete Mathematics. Both of them have very well knowledge about their subject and good teaching techniques. About EXAMS: 1)INSEM-1 exam->20marks only theory of 1st unit 2)INSEM-2 exam->20 marks practicals, viva, laboratory works(programming) and presentation on 2nd unit 3)Practical exam->25 marks include laboratory works(programming, viva) 4)ENDSEM exam->60 marks of unit 3,4,5,6 for 15 marks of each subject which includes theory, laboratory works(programming) In my class nearly everyone cleared the first 3 exams which doesn't have cutoff. But in ENDSEM exam nearly 15 out 70 students didn't cleared for each subject. I am not that satisfied with course curriculum which wasn't strong for first year cause I think they should teach C++ for first year at the place of C(for DSA in second year)
