- College time is quite flexible as our college starts at 7.30 and ends till 11.30. Due to this we can opt for jobs or interships after college time.
- As a student of the college we have access to library, which includes various books related to academics as well as literature, historic
- Also we have access to study room by scanning our ID cards, where we can sit and study in a silent space.
Dislikes
- College do not have campus as it is placed in the centre of the city. It just has vertical buildings and there's no campus around the building.
- As Bcom section is in the old building it's infrastructure is not modern and cool as other sections in our college.
- Management of the college at times of exams or any events can be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason for choosing BCom as a course was I wanted to complete my graduation in Commerce. We get to learn about Finances, Management skills, Marketing Basics, Economics concepts, etc. How helpful the course is depends upon what are you seeking from it. While speaking about exam timings, generally exams are conducted for 10-15 days maximum and time ranges to 2 hours 30 minutes. Difficulty level is moderate.
Placement Experience
The placement department is working hard for campus placements. Last year TCS company conducted their placement drive in our college. The rate of students passing TCS aptitude is very good in our college and it is increasing yearly. our college gives various placement opportunities which include TCS, ICICI Lombard, Just Dial, DMart, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees are around 2000. If you belong to any particular category like SC, or ST you do get a fee concession. To get concession in fees depending on cast you need to fill form and submit sets of various documents related to caste category and annual income. If your income fits the slab asked by them then only you can get a concession. Otherwise, you have to pay full fees as other students.
Campus Life
Talking about extra curriculums, students do conduct events like fresher's party, Dandiya function, and few more cultural festivals. Other than that our college is also part of Career katta where various knowledge events and seminars are organised by them which are online as well as offline. Talking about facilities in the classrooms, almost all the classrooms have projectors and almost all the teachers ether class with mike, this is definitely usefull as classes are large in sizes. Library of the college is very well know one and it has variety of books from academics to literatures and stories to selfhelp books there's large variety of books.
Admission
So basically DRK College of Commerce is considered one of the top colleges in Commerce field. So choosing any other college was never the plan. I got admission for 11 ths and 12 th in this college in the basics of my marks. And from then I continued my further education over here itself. Cutoff for Bcom after 12th is something I am not sure about as I was already prt of the same college. But Cutoff for 11th based on 10 th marks is 85+.
Faculty
Faculty members at the college are quite supportive while some might be less supportive. If I speak about exam structure so basically in one year we have 2 semester-end examinations, one in November(approx) and another in April. These exams consist of writing papers of 60 marks and we have approximately 7-8 subjects. We also have 2 more exams before both semester-end examinations and those are midterms.
