Course Curriculum Overview

4

The exams are conducted on time what ever may be the cause. Department infrastructure should have been improved with more facilities. The curriculum also needs changes as it should be more ease than rigid.

Internships Opportunities

4

According to NEP there is Internship in 2 nd semester. It creates a lot of mess. Department do provide Internship opportunities still may do fail which provides hectic situation to students. Even though every one will complete it on time. Mostly unpaid internships are done.

Placement Experience

1

Till now i haven't heard good about placement. To be honest i think there is no placements provided from University side. Might be some from Autonomous departments have placements got. Most of the students like me try to clear NET after this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mumbai University is actually an affordable college under Maharashtra Government. The college is one of the most old colleges in India. The college costs around 8k for Yearly fees and 11.5k for hostel. Most of the other departments also have around these as tuition fees. The fee structure is increasing 5% every year.

Campus Life

5

There are very less programs organized from University side but separately departments and hostels celebrate different occasions like Garba, Holi and so on. There are sports days. The Library is also so good with a huge collection of books.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are 4 hostels for girls and 1 for boys in Kalina university campus and 2 in fort campus. Qualification marked under distance priority and marks. Registration process is under official website. It's super affordable compared to the pgs which cost 12k per month. The mess food is also of good quality.

Admission

Compared to others the syllabus is easy. The college atmosphere and the specific course attracted me more than other universities. The admission procedure is also simple with no CUET and seperate application window.

Faculty

4

The faculty ratio is comparatively low and need more but the professors who are present is extraordinary talented people. The 50-50 academic system is so good that it make students proficient in Presentations and research paper writings along with the help of guides in department.

Interview Experience

5

No. Since i am from the same domain i hadn't have any written or Interview. If not there is. Many departments do have all these like MBA, Law, M. Com... It's quite easy if you have good access in particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my course professors are very well know and have deep knowledge about the subject. They teach their subjects with passion and zeal. Curriculum is good but at times they include subjects which can't learn in 6 months or so. Exams and studies are so fast here that they don't even complete 6 months but in 5 months they are done with the semester.

Campus placement training is available too. You're eligible for it after the third semester. if you have no backlog It is great. There are many companies that visit because it is the home university. Average package is 5LPA and it goes upto 16 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 60-70. My plans after the degree is to apply for my NET exam and after that I'll do my Ph.D in English
