Likes

University organised several events and fests every year which are very fun and enjoyable.
University has a huge library with AC and WiFi facility. It contains all the necessary books related to our syllabus.
The Infrastructure and campus life is good.

Dislikes

They have proper labs but they lack some necessary chemicals and equipments which are required to perform important practicals.
There is placement cell in our department for the students. No internship opportunities.
Our department does not have any permanent faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is really good. The syllabus is relevant and beneficial for the students who prepare for compititive exams like CSIR NET. Practicals mentioned in the syllabus are also updated in terms of today's research ideas but the department lack necessary lab work, they do not have proper lab facilities.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 23950 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission I paid 12600 and in the 2nd year the fees was 11350, including tuition fees, registration fees, admission fees, and other compulsory charges. Fees is same for all categories students. For SC ST students there is a scholarship in which they can get admission free by submitting there income certificate, the family income should be less than 2.5 lakh per annum.

Campus Life

Several events and extension lectures organised by the department. A 3 day youth fest named "HINDOLA" organised by the university every year in November which includes different cultural programs, compititions and other activities and DJ night. All the functions are really enjoyable. Many inter College sports compititions organized by university.

Admission

I applied in DU bit didn't get there so I took admission here because their course fees is affordable. I got admission through entrance exam conducted by the university. Only one entrance exam is conducted for all 4 courses of life sciences (Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology and environmental science) present in the university then based on the students preference and marks obtained students get selected.

Faculty

Our department does not have permanent faculty, but the current faculties present here is really good, and kind to students. Teachers are experienced and well qualified. Exams are conducted semester wise, the level of the exams are easy to moderate. Result declared in CGPA.

Going through my university.

Placement Experience:

As per the placement most replacement work done from the BTech department. And there are many companies who give their advertisement for the recruitment and they take a test in which last semester student or the student who has just fast are eligible. So placement are offered mostly in engineering department but some companies also post advertisement for many other department like BCA ,BBA ,Bsc and Msc. Highest package round 8 to 9 lakh. The average packages round 4 lakh. The percentage of student getting placement is not high but it is around 60%. I want to pursue my career in data science.

Experience at IGU Rewari in MCA Course

I applied in Delhi University, MDU Rohtak, Kurukshetra University and IGU rewari. I got confirmed admission in MDU, KUK and IGU. I prefer IGU because its location was more suitable for me and it was meeting all my requirements. I rejected MDU and KUK due to thier location and placements. In my university, admission is on entrance basis but sometimes if there are less number of application forms, then it is on merit basis.
