College infrastructure has developed so much over the years yet more can be done. The library facility is good where students can borrow books for a month and can extend the due date online. overall experience of this college would be great.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well structured throughout the year to built fundamentals to advance knowledge of the stream also includes the latest advancement in the respective stream. One academic year involves two semesters, in one sem they conduct two internal averages of which get added to the semester-end exam.
Placement Experience
Placements are not that great, but not bad as compared to most colleges. If your lucky you would get placed in one or two mass recruiter companies. College does provide internship paid or most like a workshop where one has to pay and can learn leading technology.
College Events
There are numerous events celebrated in college as there are a number of committees and each committee has its signature fest which is conducted throughout the year. The main event is Surge, Skore, Oscillations, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is segregated into many components like tuition fee, development fee, library expense, gymkhana fee. If you fall under this quota then you don't have to pay tuition fees which itself comprises a big chunk of the total fee amount.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students having an average cgpa of 8.25 ( not sure of today's eligibility can confirm in office) in one academic year can avail Tata scholarship trust program. Mahalaxmi trust also provide scholarship (please confirm through a call before visiting)
Campus Life
Somaiya has no limit when it comes to extracurricular activities as there is much open space ground for sport like cricket, badminton, box cricket, volleyball. Paintball and lan gaming is a must-play.
Alumni/Alumna
Somaiya organizes alumni meet to help students to bridge the gap between industries and academic. They help with the placements and train or give you tips to get placed. College also conducts a seminar for professionals as well to share their experiences.
Faculty
Faculties are open to any suggestions and are very helpful with doubts. Some are strict some are chill. They also encourage students to join the committees which help one to get exposed to many opportunities.
