Course is designed concerning current industrial operations. at regular time there is meet with industry.syllabus update every year with the participation of few final year students and people from industry. In first year there is no specific course is taught on choosen branch but focus is given to touch important all industrial basic operations and then from second year you enter in your core branch studies. There is two exams (midsem,endsem) apart from class tests , assignments in every semester.for grading there is relative system i.e. by comparing to highest marks.

Placements ratio of ism is approx.100% everyone who qualify college assigned criteria to sit in companies get placement generally. College has legacy to its earth science branches like mining,petroleum, applied geology etc. Most of the students get more than 10 lpa from these branches. Core branches also perform good and especially in computer engineering every one get more than 10 lpa and even can get 40 or 45 lpa. Companies also hire inters through college and stipend depends on companies .this may be 0 or 1 lac/month.

We have 1 tech fest- concerto, cultural fest- srijan these widely famous fests in other colleges .apart from them through out year students organize many events for sports,dance, music, academic seminars and talks.

Fee structure is feasible as most of the students get scholarship .now girls and sc- st students have to pay only hostel fees and most of the general category students get scholarship from mhrd. fees in all iit is same expect some annual charges.

Merit cum means for students whose family annual income below 6 lpa and belong gen and obc category and apart from that many scholarships available for good performing students either in academics or sports.

Grounds available for all outdoor sport activities. For cultural a separate building with separate room for every club like drama,art, astronomy,maths,quiz,dance, music available. All clubs have their annual budget that is used for their nourishment.

Hostel are fully equipped with all facilities. they have basketball and badminton Courts, table tennis rooms and gym. Near to the hostels are student activity center where all cultural activities and indoor games available. A Olympic size swimming pool is available for interested. Grounds are available for Tannis,cricket, hockey volleyball etc.laundry and other facilities available all time. Any issue is solved within day.

Ism is known for its senior junior relationship.alumni play extremely important part. They provide every kind of help either financial or an opportunities. There is website and separate organization in college for alumnus . Alumni of ism are in most of the countries especially in USA .they provide scholarships and helps in tuff times .they provide best help and guidance for newcomers from college and live like family.

Faculty in IIT (Ism) recruited in same way as other iits and every one of them have very good academic past .most of them are alumnus of iits and foreign universities. All of them have to publish papers every year. Overall it's a nicest thing to learn from them .
