Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is actually updated every year. They try to make it accordingly, what is needed in the job market right now. The teaching method is a little controversial because not all the teachers are good and the teaching style may not suit you. The difficulty of the level is easy to medium but still it gets difficult due to the long class hours and less time for self study.

Internships Opportunities

3

Students secure internships across sectors with prominent companies like Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Bosch, and Biocon, offering roles such as Software Developer, Business Analyst, Mechanical Engineer Trainee, and Digital Marketing Intern. These internships often come with stipends ranging from INR 8,000 to 25,000 per month, depending on the field and responsibilities. The students here work on real-world projects, and sometimes co-authoring research papers, all of which provide valuable industry exposure. In terms of all of this, LPU is quite up there in their game. If you are determined and have that quality in your, you would have a great time here.

Placement Experience

4

The 3rd years students are eligible for internships and ppos. The full fledged placements start from 4th year. I placements are decent, 5-6 lpa being on avg and it can go to more than 50 lpa. I have seen people getting that package but they are exceptional. Percentage of people getting placed would be 70-80% to be exact.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise few would be around 1,50,000. It mostly depends on the scholarship recieved during the screening process through the lpu nest exam, which is the exam to get into LPU. All of the other fees are included in this except for the examination fee which is 4000 and when you enter 3rd year, 16,000 rs fee is taken as the placement fee which is for grooming and enhancing the verbal ability and reasoning skills classes of which would be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of fests - one world, spectra, magnitude etc. A lot more than I can name actually. The environment is quite happening all the time because of fests happening and competitions taking place. There are different clubs that you can be a part of, be it cultural or academics. The library is house to different types of books ranging from history, civis, sports, games, science, philosophy, engineering, maths, electronics, physical studies etc as it has all of the courses in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities is quite nice. The rooms are spacious and all of the amenities are provided like beds, mattress, table, chairs, geyser, almirah etc. The mess food is decent enough with good food is given during festivals and special occasions. A different type of food is prepared if a student is sick. The hostel is a little pricey. It charges around 1 lakh for one year, so it comes around 4 lakhs only from the mess and hostel facilities.

Admission

Some of the other colleges I applied did not have the kind of placements that LPU has. Also, there are special classes that happen from placements. I genuinely believe they help us alot during placements. I did not receive a rejection, I just chose not to join DU as I had already received a call from LPU. I had applied to DU through Jee mains and CUET. You can also apply to LPU through Jee mains.

Faculty

3

LPU faculty are often regarded as approachable most of the time. Some faculty members are accessible outside class, eager to mentor, and often willing to help students with extra academic support. Some of them are good while others are not that great, do not explain the concepts properly and are not patient enough with the students. The exams are midterm and end term but there are various CA (continuous assessment) that are taken in between these exams which are also added. There are marks from attendance too.

Other Applied Colleges

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Mid cap to large cap, every company that can afford our students services are invited to our university for hiring students. Thus far nearly 500 organizations have been invited to our university and a good bit of placements percentage is also there. No students of our university recruited have come under fire and therefore the companies which have laid faith in LPU students have kept hiring year after year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

As I mentioned this college is new and they have no past data to show about their placement but they have good tie up with some of the giants of industry including IBM and when their SME comes to provide lectures ut really boosts your energy and motivation. But still there can't be any assurance of placement as of now untill our batch get placed successfully

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
